  1. I foresee you'll have loads of fun shopping for your new kitchen
  2. Your choice of laminate colours is definitely bold. And I think together with your accessories (or future ones) and wall/floor tiles, your kitchen will be very unique! Not sure what handles are available here, but I feel it'd be good to use one-of-a-kind handles with your cabinets. Otherwise, no handles imho.
  3. That's fast, and looks nice. Can't wait to see the end result!
  4. The String looks nicer than Ikea's and the price is not significantly higher. I like the fact it's adjustable. I'd choose the String!
  5. No need to apologise, Makan! The cream one is lovely too Lucky you to get the last green one, hope you'll enjoy it With only a few units left and the model being discontinued, I better hurry up and snatch one up!
  6. Thanks for the tip! Does this model only come in cream colour or are there other colours as well?
  7. I've been to BD quite a few times but never paid attention... Thanks for the info, will drop by Mustafa soon if I get the chance!
  8. From Mustafa, then the price should be ok I guess? I've been eyeing something like since last year. But but...when I showed the pic of the fan and some other retro-looking clock to my hubby, he said "if these are what you call retro, then they're ugly." hmmm, got to find a way to get him to like them
  9. This is great! Where did you get it? So you will put this on the Ikea stool (after it comes out from your storeroom)?
  10. Ooh, these are all very nice! A bit hard to decide, but maybe I'd go for contrasting colours
  11. Agreed, you have picked some nice colours for your place!
  12. No, I use my hands to do the "cutting", so not sure how KA performs in this aspect. Probably experts like Vanessa can enlighten you, sorry Oh, I guess she already did!
  13. I lived in the States for several years. And owned a Kitchen Aid mixer (Artisan series) for 5-6 years. Still going strong when I left it behind. It is heavy duty, powerful, and you can use it to mix dough for breads, whip cream, whip egg whites and my friends even used it to make meat balls (the type with springy texture). Won't wobble at high speeds even though it doesn't have those suction cup thingys at the bottom. I only use it for baking but you can buy other accessories to do other things (grind food, make ice cream etc). Oh, and if you do decide to buy one, I recommend you buy a 3 quart bowl as well (the Artisan comes with 5 quart bowl). I find the 3 quart bowl very handy!
  14. Sigh, I miss my Kitchen Aid... Used to have a pistachio green one that's cute and retro-looking but left it with my sister when I came back. I considered buying another one in Singapore but the price is grossly marked up here!
