  1. yo lavendery,

i guess you staying at blk 22 or 23, while i am at blk 21. Either you are not driving or you are happy with parking at 3rd storey and above even with a season parking ticket. i woud say 90% of the time when i come home after work, i only got to park at non-season parking lot which is 3rd floor and above. sianzzzzzzz.......!

And you are right, weekend and public holidays are worst. Even my friend who work in town, parked his car here and take MRT to work which is 2 stations away.

ps: 1, new coffee shop at blk 26, i think? the food quite nice, 24 hrs some more!

2, if you know anyone staying at Central Green, see if they can help you to get a resident pass, save the season parking fee. hee........!

    cheers!

Wow, i got a neighbour here!! U live at which floor?

I'm from Blk 22. My hubby is driving, but not me. I take MRT to work.

He usually reach home before 7pm after work, by then he usually ends up parking at the 1st floor level (one level above the MSCP ground floor).

If those ppl who work in town also buy season parking coupons, then its more challenging for us to find good parking lots already. We are always target to park at ground floor. But its usually often mission impossible :P

P/s: I noticed that there's always a beige colour van which is forever parking at the same parking lot at ground floor MSCP everyday since day 1 i moved into my new house (4mths already). It doesn't drive away, doesn't move...it just keeps renew its season coupon......

Yea, there's a new coffeeshop, theres also a banner hang out at the "Tiong Bahru Court" area. Spotted it yesterday when driving by. Haven't tried it though, cos its still a distance away even though its just 1 school + 1 block away. It takes around 6-8 mins+ to walk there Any good recommandable stalls there? I also intend to give it a try by these few days. :(

Try to know people from Central Green? Good idea, haha. But this is the most expensive condo in the area, and its those super rich people. Difficult to get close to them, need to find a way.. Perhaps just bride the security guard

  2. Haha wish its true then i can go 'stick off' some gold from them!

Poor planning i would say, 1 MSCP for 9 blocks of flats, and each level has at least 12 units. They had only catered for less than 20% of the residents for the sheltered carpark lots.

Luckily my area is not meant to cater for 9 blocks of flats. Else everyday after work, its gonna be a stressful thing for people who drive ~ finding parking lots....

My area MSCP is cater for around ~5 blocks...kekeke

  3. My unit (3rd floor) also facing a six floor multi-storey carpark. I believe that there's always a certain distance from the multi-storey carpark to your house. Its not really that bad as in the car headlight is able to shine into the house. I find that its ok leh.... :sport-smiley-004:

Perhaps part of the reason is very little or no car are parking at my floor level..cos most of the cars are parking at Basement and ground floor ..

  4. Anyone knows where to buy the MoldDuck which was posted earlier on the 1st page? Been searching high and low at NTUC leh, cannot find.

My toilet basin has those ugly patches of black colour mold which formed at the white ceramic plaster (which connect the basin towards the toilet wall). I always have a hard time scrubbing it off....and it just kept coming back whenever the area is wet. :notti:

Secondly, what kind of detergent is best to clean and scrub off the soap and water stain at the shower screen? My shower screen looked so disasterous now. :notti:

  5. hi lavendery, u're too modest. saw ur blog and the decor is nice :( how much did ur reno cost u? the clipsal switch is cool... any feedback on the usage?

Thanks, its just simple reno only cos we didn't engage ID, its only main contractor. My reno cost me around ~25K.

The clipsal switch is only good when it comes to night time, cos its easier to locate for the switches due to the LED light :curse:

If i'm not wrong, the clipsal neo switches (including heater switch, phone socket, power socket) cost around ~$500 for the entire house.

    Hi Lavendery

Is your vanity top has concrete support?

Also your kitchen sink concrete support?

    If so, how is it?

    So far so good??

    HAPPY

My MasterBedRm toilet vanity top do not have concrete support.

Only my kitchen sink has the concrete support. Hmm, having concrete sink support has its own cons and pros. Advantage is it can definitely last. Disadvantage is u need to find matching homo tiles to blend in well with your kitchen laminate, so that it won't look so concrete and ugly.

Initially i also wanted my MasterBedroom toilet to have the concrete support too, but we wanted suspense vanity top. So we have to give up have concrete support. To make it last longer, i insisited for the vanity cabinet door to be those type of outdated ugly aluminium PVC sliding door, at least it can last longer :jawdrop:

  6. u're so lucky! i won't mind low floor if its WIS (vs expensive mid floor resale unit). do u have any pix of ur house to share? blk 22 is beside 21 right? haven explore the area yet, only noe blk 20 is in front

I didn't get it cheap from the Feb WIS either :P

I only know Blk 22 is beside blk 23. I don't know where is Blk 21 :paint:

Mine house design is quite simple, no much fanciful decor. Budget constraint

  7. lavendery: thanks for ur warm welcome. how big is ur flat? mine is just a 85sqm and mid-floor unit.

applefreak: yeah... can't wait to start reno and move into such a vibrant neighbourhood noticed a lot of young couples here

yang guo: u wont believe it... the resale flat i bot didn't come with any built-in cabinets, not even in the kitchen. there wasn't any floor tiles in living room, and all bedrooms. only vinyl sheet for the floor so hacking was only for WC and basin, the study room and part of master br. ya, maybe u're right, it's the carpentery. my colleague was sharing wif me how her fren wanted to save $ on reno costs so did not have any built-in stuff. end up spend just as much when buying furniture. i hope my choice is right.

happy: its for the washing machine

Mine is 5-room flat, 110sqm, low-floor. No choice, got it from the Feb WIS 07, all left low-floor :)

  8. intersted in this model but i think its kinda ex. Anyone have comments on this model? What is the price for this? My budget is max at $200

    Thanks!

I bought this Vacuum Cleaner somewhere on Oct at $280. Its quite a reasonably good vacuum cleaner whereby its not so noisy and the sucker power is good. No regrets buying this so far. It has been serving my house good.

  9. I also using the blum motion for my kitchen drawers...but somehow i feel that its quite difficult to pull out. U have to use abit of force to pull out the kitchen drawers. When it comes to pushing in, its ok, got the anti-slam effect. :dancingqueen:

My contractor also charging me $60 for per pair of blum motion.

The rest of my kitchen cabinets are using the soft hinges, which also have the anti-slam effects, but its not blum brand, cos too exp liao.

  10. Yang Guo,...

are you doing grilles?. *I remember you do not...

and also, can you PM me your curtain supplier?. was thinking to ask him to quote for me...

Two weeks ago (on one of the weekend), we saw a curtain man (in a van) selling curtains,.. his materials looks okay, and quoted us like around $980 for the whole house.. package price. (only thinh is his curtain kinda thin and silky type and can't see through though, while we prefer a thick cloth one)

Didn't proceed with him due to one reason and another...

U can try "Arts Living" at Furniture Mall. The price is consider reasonable, depending on your window length and the curtain material. I did a full length "Day-and-Night" curtain for both living room and MBR, and two roller blinds for the other two bedroom. It cost 1.2K. In addition i also did a string curtain for $100 at my MBR.

  11. Hmm, i'm not very sure if the bottom seat is also mesh or not. U can try take a look at their website ... www.u-plan.com.my but they also have a branch at Spore. That time i went to take a look and try out their chairs, rather comfy. But too bad, i'm very broke. End up i just bought a normal chair from Ikea :D

  12. I just moved into my new house around 2 days ago. The Clipsal C-Metro series switches LED are not as glaring as i initially thought when the room is totally pitch dark.

I personally like the grey switches due to its blue LED light. However due to the my wall colours, almost all the switches were the white LED one as the switches have to be in white. I also realised that some of my switches LED are brighter, while some switches LED are dimmer. :dunno:

  13. Yes I also prefer light colour eg) bluish white compress stone.

Has been searching high and low for that and hopefully can find one that matches my budget.

U can try at Lian Heng (at Jalan Besar). They got a wide variety of quartz tiles. I got mine from there. I used quartz tiles at the main door foyer area. My blk is pretty near yours, its at Blk 22. U are welcome to drop by to see during weekends, cos its the only days where i'll be around, haha. Busying unpacking as my renov is almost close to completion soon.
