  1. Hi, am looking for reviews on Deluxe Home Furnishing. Specifically their vinyl flooring. Am interested to know how their vinyl is holding up. If you've taken other things like curtains or blind with them, pls just provide feedback as well. Thank you!
  2. Hello all, am looking for electrician to do a very very small job. Basically it's just to remove the trunking and extend the wiring by about 2 feet. Anyone can help ? Thanks !
  3. Hi sumobear ! I do remember you ! It's been a while since I've posted in RenoTalk as well Right now I am pregnant with my second baby. Having more than 1 kid is definitely something that we both agreed upon even before being married. It is indeed already stressful for me to be pregnant and taking care of my 21 month old toddler. But sometimes we feel quite sad looking at him play alone and wants to give him a playmate. All I can say is that it requires many sacrifices. For me personally, I am considering taking a lighter work load (possibly part time job). Thus cannot shop as much lor.. We've also decided to have another kid now due to age. Not just me but also while hubby is still "young" and have energy to take care of one. Later when older, want to play with them also very tiring. It really depends on you and I suggest sitting down with your wife and weigh out the pros and cons and not forgetting the finances ! All the best !

  18. hmm... wiring the whole house is a bit funny to me. maybe a mixture of wired and wireless will be more feasible. are all ur systems going to be all over the house ? security wise can just set a 128-bit WEP key or if u prefer, filter the systems by using the MAC address. like some others who has raised a point here, concealing ur cables would mean problems in troubleshooting later on. sure buying better cables and such but u know with computers and murphy's law "what can go wrong will go wrong" !!
  19. Ahhh ! Finally my king-size Simmons Charleston bed arrived yesterday and it is definitely great ! FYI, I bought it at $3200 which includes the mattress, bedframe, 2 pillows and a mattress protector. Bought it during the Expo from Ackerman.
  20. I've went to Hoe Kee at Jalan Berseh. There was an old man there who did not attend to us at all. So we just ignored him too and got out of the store. We went to Hoe Kee at IMM to get some stuff. The first time we went, there was an old man (nt the same one ah..) who was quite attentive to us. The second time we went there, an old lady served us. When we asked if the mirrored cabinet had to be set up by ourselves or does it come already set up, her answer was "u wan to buy or not ? if u buy then i take out fr u". PFFT... watever...
  21. i bought Lucieno shoes too ! But now some of the diamante drop off liao.. sho sian..
  22. Initially FH and I was tinking abt 800 fr a dining set (inclusive of chairs). We were even looking at second hand items. Then, we found a nice set (to us) at Scanteak but it was over our budget (approx $1400). After thinking it over, we decided to get it due to the following reasons: (1) long lasting. my parents have a lot of Scanteak products which are still doing good till this day (2) we like the design. no point getting soemthing that wun make us feel "happy" when we see it every morning and sit on it every dinnertime To us, it's all about compromising all the different aspects: budget, design and usage. I dun have any granite stuff at my home so can't answer u much on the pros and cons. All the best !
  23. hmm.. after reading the stories here, i tink i quite lucky liao. haha ! he'll mostly do the washing and hanging of clothes. when mop or sweep floor, he'll help also. but now married less than 1 month (haha !) so in future dunno how also. bt my hubby before married time he used to doing all the things himself, cos not living with parents. i guess from there he learnt how to do housework lor. which is great for me
  24. tomorrow will be the solemnization at home. nw not so nervous, feel a bit happier. but tomoro dunno how the feeling will be like. heh.
  25. personally i am not a cyclist but i know many friends who are. i guess those who are ringing their bells are just trying to warn u that they are coming. on the road, do u tink that other drivers will give way to them ? sorry to say that it is not happening. so cyclists are realli stuck. this one is i agree. the other time FH wanted to make a police report becos some of his things gt stolen from the bike. the NPC gt no pen and paper leh ! wah lau ! like that also can ah.. win liao lor..
