  1. Since we back to tis topic, let me share wat i've encountered. no more $605 to do a toilet floor with local flakes, they have reduced the price to $500. Anyway the customer service and attitude of that salesman really sucks! When i made enquiry about the services, he sounded impatient and gave a kind of "ai lai mai sua" (u want u come, don't want forget it) attitude. i didn't want to waste my time with him. I got another contractor to do my toilet floor at $380 using local flakes, so much cheaper. As wat snailslow mentioned, the flakes really looked like shred plastic and very light. They did the job within a day and returned on the second day just to grind the floor. The flakes were quite poky when the glue dried up. i did it the cheapest way because the unit is for rent. I'm happy if it can last me 2-3 years.
  2. I told myself I'll never consider spray coating on my tiles after viewing these photos. But I changed my mind and was convinced that this so called coating on tiles really works after seeing a demo at Singapore Expo by Faith Coat during the recent home show. To show me the effect of spray coating on tiles, the sales person broke a piece of ceramic tile that was spray coated. From the cross section of the broken tile, could see clearly that the coating bonded firmly to the tile and looked as it already became part of the tile surface. Very impressive! See for yourself to believe.
