  3. Hmmm... Thanks a lot! But then sad is , we dun have enuff time to set up the whole house. There fore, cannot move in now. Got to do my confinement in my in laws place and then slowly set up the house and move in... I think by then will be in Nov??? Hiaz.. just my luck!
  4. Finally, the house is ready and saturday the movers already shifted the cartons over. Looks good... and cosy. Just wait for the curtain to arrive on Saturday together with my bed frame.
  5. Woman, i cannot do my confinement in the new home already. They going to re-lay the parquet again for the 4 bedrooms... not enuff time at all. By then ready, still need to wash etc... and worst thing, now need to wrap up all the air con units etc. ARGH!
  6. Hiaz... Today hubby went up with the contractor to our place and ask him to rectify things. The thing that I am shocked were our parquets. Hubby told me that there are white patches in every room and also sticky patches that cannot be clean off. He wanted the contractor to rectify this issue by hook or by crook cos parquet flooring is going to be with us very long. If I am there, sure whack the contractor... Angry with them... things not even done properly. Hiaz.. The curtain maker already quoted us 2 sets of curtains and we told him to go ahead with the work. Total is $1130 and we think it is relatively cheap. Of course, we not making Full length, we opt for half length. This saturday, movers going to move the things to the new place, i wonder do I still need to postpone it again. Faintz...

  8. Applefreak, the fridge we order is a 570 liter (gross ) and 475 liter (nett) one. But one day before they deliver, Hitachi called us up and inform us that this capacity one is out of stock. So they will give us the same model one but with bigger capacity at no extra cost So the one in the picture is 610 liter (gross) and 508 liter (nett ). I check with the shop, it is 300 dollars more than the one we paid for. So this is a WIN Situation for us. Some more pics to add on. 1. Balcony Grilles ( simple one ) 2. Me resting a lot now.. cos my babies will be out by 30 sept. By then they are 36 weeks exactly. Btw, do you all knwo how to remove the plastic on the bifold doors for toilet? My hubby had been trying remove it for past hour.. hahahaha! Good news, all my toilet bifold, window grilles and main gate already up today!
  11. Skywolf, today the appliances and the furniture will be arriving... u can pop by next week! I will be there next week too!! Hmm, yesterday hubby found something... a few pieces of the parquet seems to be very "loose" and he was wondering maybe they did not set it properly. going to call and complain the contractor later and ask him come down for meeting. Yesterday, he was furious too.. the painting job is snobbish.. and my DH got to buy paint brush and touch up the rooms etc... and all paints drip on window grilles has not been cleaned. Make a lot of noise! Hiaz... Where to buy the stainless bamboo hook?? Bun bun, ahahahah would not lor.. but just that empty nothing to see...

  13. Hi Skywolf, the final bill just come out last nite.. total is SGD37580 which includes the toilet bowls, sink etc. Exclude the Water heater la. Hubby thinks reasonable over all cos a lot of carpentry work.... somemore 3 bedrooms with wardrobes. Hi applefreak, I already PM u liao. My hubby's cousin who got his house recently had timber flooring for the whole house!! GASP! We are like WOAH... must be costly i guess. Smartfool, this one got to ask my main contractor liao... the door is not from my carpenter.
  14. hi applefreak, Yah, $300 if not wrong. Including the wooden frame. The door material is naytoh door. I think the carpenter does. Let me check with my hubby detail for carpenter then i pm u tomorrow. They are from SINO associates. The factory in sungei kadut. Our shoe cabinet, they also fabricate for us. Skywolf, hahaha the contractor is my SIL's bf father. He is the main one but he sub out everything to his little sub con. I go ask my hubby how much the carpenter charge for shoe cabinet tonite... I dunno ex or what, but everything is in. My total reno cost is 38K excluding fixtures... and air cons etc. I only know the partition cost me $900.
  15. My dear hubby went up during lunch hour to inspect the house again. Lightings all done, toilet bowls and sink up.   16. My DH bought a special detergent from home fix DIY for cleaning wood. Use that twice a week to clean it and also protect it.

Feel that it gives us those home cosy feelings... hehehehe Some ppl will think how come we so LAO TU... hahahaha But we just want the feel lor. Hi Applefreak, our contractor charge us $300 to fabricate that door. I think very cheap already... Hi Yan, i dunno what system we are using cos i were not the one who coordinate the whole reno. My hubby is the one... he also dunno which system... hahahah! Its is in the carpentry package. My whole house carpentry cost me ard $9.5K, the partition, the kitchen cabinets, the shoe cabinet, and the 3 bed room wardrobe. We din engage ID, solely done by the Contractor.

Yesterday my dear hubby went up to the new house to meet up with the contractor... so far so good... painting job almost done and parquet first coating already done. 2nd coating of lacquering will be done after the wardrobe have been fixed up on Monday. My kitchen cabinet's granite top will be up on Monday too. 1. Parquet in one of the room ( first coating up already, apparently workmanship not bad, hubby says thumb up!) 2.   22. Very very vexed!!! The contractor told my hubby that he will not be able to hand over the house to us this week. ARGH!!!! He says got some of the things unable to finish. Initially before started reno, tell us 6 weeks enough.. then now... coming 2 mths already still not ready. My hubby also say nothing he can do and basically the outstanding things are the fixing of the cabinets, toilet bowls, toilet accessories etc... will monitor. My hubby also says he already inform the contractor died died by next Wed, the flat must hand back to us cos the movers and furniture wil be coming on 30 Aug. Stupid right! &^*(^&*^%^&

  24. Yoz Yoz!! Had been quite a while since I update my blog. Hahaha!! Finally, next week is the day whereby the contractor will be handling the house back to us.! The outstanding work left for the house will be installation of toilet bowls, sink and accessories, painting, sanding of parquets for the 4 bedrooms, granite top for the kitchen cabinet and sink top, grills for balcony and main gate, bifold door for the kitchen entrance and main door.   25. Hi bun bun, Yupz yupz, my gynae ask me to rest more. Gynae was hoping that i can drag until mid Sept but i told her this is up to individual body. Hiaz... now on partial bed rest lor. Hubby not stress but tired going up to site. The sofa cost us 1.2K, half leather. 1.5m? that means u can get only 2 seaters sofa? How come? tout ur living room very spacious? Eh.. not getting cleaning company, we getting our 2 maids to go down to the house and clean. Bad employer...hahahaha
