My dad's old breakfast table (Well, his old kitchen was huge), is made of rattan, hence, I can't sand it but Since the original color is black, i just spray paint it to gloss black and my new dining table is here... I have yet to have my dining chairs delivered so looking forward for all to be put together... With carpet underneath of course... -

So far, not much furniture in yet.. Buying things slowly as I won't be moving in till after CNY... My dad gave me 2 pieces of old furniture... An old coffee table and an old dining table... Both are still in great condition just that the furnishing is bad as well, both are really old... At least 15 years old but surprisingly still very very sturdy. So what I did was to sand the coffee table and spray paint the table to matt black from the traditional wood brown and now I have a brand new table costing me 2 cans of spray paint... Well of course no carpets yet. It will pop better when I have my light color carpet in to contrast with the table and floor... I also bought the amazingly gorgeous arm chair with foot rest at an amazing deal from carousel. 2nd hand yet showroom condition... Saves me tons of money and made my living room not so empty... -

Hi. Yes, It was a relieve that it's all done... With regards to the flooring, apparently the cement screeding is not extremely level (cannot complain as the cement screeding was done free by HDB) and due to the color choice of flooring, hence, it made it more obvious. But I guess, after laying down carpets and furniture, it should be ok and not so obvious. If I am not wrong, It's bout 2-3cm. Not so thick. If you wish to have a thicker flooring, you should go for hard wood floor. But of course, the price is rather steep. But last a long time. I hope things goes well for your side... -

I still have yet to purchase a long list of items that's way longer than my arm... Will be getting slowly but surely... Haha... Once the house is in a better shape, with some furniture of course, I will update further... For now, will have to patiently wait for the minor defects rectifications and we're good to do some good spring cleaning of the house followed by properly putting up my home... -

Hi... Totally right? Sometimes ID don't quite understand the actual look of the themes and straight away assume Scandi or Victorian... Lol... It is indeed a shame on them... Thanks for liking the design of my humble home. The tub... I personally can't wait to jump in for a bath... Soon I hope... Yeah, me too.. Hope hand over could be done this week... Good luck again with your renovation journey... -

Hi... Nice kitchen of yours there... Well, definitely prices wise will be much cheaper if using ply wood & not both side with top and bottom cabinets. I did think about that too but since I have to spend money, might as well do it right one time since I intend to live in this house for a very long time... But most importantly, I just cannot compromise my design with an alternative as laminated ply wood cabinet doors cannot give me that nice solid wood carving... As for me, I do utilize my kitchen on a daily basis and do heavy cooking and cleaning. It is my territory like what my husband said... Lol... A little pain of paying is definitely worth it... -

Hi. My shoe cabinet, TV console, master bathroom vanity, master bedroom wardrobe are made of plywood with laminate. The wainscoting are made of mdf board then spray painted. My kitchen cabinets are all made of solid nyatoh wood. You can see the difference in the doors for my kitchen and the bathroom vanity door. Quality is definitely different. Finishing also cannot be the same. Of course if you wish to have a nice carving cabinet doors, you have to go for solid nyatoh wood. Costly, yes. But it last a very long time. Price wise, kitchen cost about $20k ish with glass back splash on wet side, tiles on dry side and color Quartz for counter top. Hope that helps.. 😀 -

I hope the handover will be soon... It's not that I can't wait to move in... But the process is definitely extremely tiring... At the last minute I made an additional carpentry work request... As I could not find the appropriate size for the dressing table for my tiny master bedroom, I decided to customize it. So will be having a suspended dressing table in by mid of next week. More updates and hope finish line real soon... I'm exhausted already... -
