  1. Last purchase for now... Hob, Hood & Oven... All Turbo.. Hope it doesn't disappoint me... Final piece, 2 wall sconce for my living room to be place above the fire place... No more purchase for now as all items to be installed have been purchased. I'd wait for for the whole reno to finish then only I'd start buying everything else as now have to focus on paying for the reno as I have definitely went over budget...
  2. Hope more updates soon... Tho once bathroom is done, nothing much can proceed as cement screeding still not done yet... HDB is just taking forever...
  3. Some new updates... The common bathroom tiles are all done.. Now it looks fabulous compared to the original ugly walls... Kerb for shower is also done. Master bath is halfway done... For now, partial tiles are in and tub have been installed... Apparently I got a shocked that the kitchen tiles are in too with no kitchen cabinet... I have always thought that cabinet goes in 1st then only the backsplash... Nevertheless, this is just 1 sided as the other side I will be using white glass... Airconditions are in today as well...
  4. Small updates for now. Since cement screeding will take forever to start, my flooring and carpentry cannot move at all. All thanks to the super slow HDB. Well, been trying to chase them yet still no news. So for now, my ID have already started on other things first. The electrical have been run. And False ceiling is up. Good news for me, tomorrow, the tilers will come in and start on the overlaying of tiles in both bathroom followed by bathtub to be in by Friday and Aircon installation on Monday. Slow moving progress in the house due to cement screeding but at least it is still moving. I'd update my gorgeous bathroom when they are done tiling up. Hope it will turn out gorgeous. Pray hard... We'll see.... I hope...
  5. Hi. PM sent. As for ID contacts, I'd prefer to wait for my Reno to end before I can give full details and review. Hope you understand. Thanks.
  6. Hi.. Thank you for the kind words. Nothing is cheap. Very true. I have exceed my initial budget. Now need to keep everything else on budget and on time, hopefully. They have cheaper alternatives of course but lack of choices and cheaper quality. Well, it depends on individual at the end of the day. For dining chairs, I would suggest you go to Taylor B Fine Design at Kepple Road. They carry more selections and price is about the same. I would have bought from Taylor B if I knew sooner... As for the ID contact, I am still in the midst of renovations. Let me see his final work before I would dare recommend him to others tho he seems very capable. So stay tuned...
  7. Still have a long list of purchase to do. Nevertheless, All important ones for installation are in. Hope the cement screeding will start really soon. Patiently waiting.
  8. Purchased some more balance items. Bought the Mitsuibishi Electric Starmex System 3 from Gain City for all bedrooms. Wanted to go for system 4 but again, way off budget now. Perhaps will install for the living at a much later date if it is really necessary. Also purchased the Joven 35ltr storage heater from Hoe Kee Last purchase was a simple bathtub from Sim Chiang Choon (Didn't take a picture of the tub so It looks something like this:
  9. It's been 2 weeks yet the cement screeding have yet to start. Therefore, my ID can't move much for now. But my hands are itching to get somethings done. Therefore, all window grill and service yard window are finally installed. I went ahead with the simple aluminium white powdered coated grill for the whole house. Wanted to go for wrought iron for the whole house but my budget doesn't seem to permit anymore. Therefore we go simple and clean for the windows...
  10. Now getting HDB to do up the cement screeding and some defects fixing which I hope it will be done in 3 weeks or so. After which the renovation will officially kick off.. So stay tuned...
  11. My master bedroom built in headboard cushion have already been finalized and I went with the creamish colour that I wanted to blend in with the white wooden frame As for the master bathroom vanity, here is the final choice of laminate. The picture doesn't seem to justify the actual colour as the actual colour is much lighter and much more refined. For the vanity solid surface, I went for these gorgeous one. You can see the gradient in the surface. And of course it is the high range solid surface yet my ID is still giving me the same price...
  12. So made some changes here and there with my ID. On the layout of the internal of my kitchen cabinets as space is very limited. Need to be smart with my choices. Hence did my final discussion with my ID. And made the final selection of materials for my shoe cabinet, tv console in living and Master bedroom wardrobe. Finally selected this laminate to blend in with the finish spray painted wainscoting. As for the kitchen cabinet counter top. Made some changes. As the iQuartz have decided to discontinued the initial marble like quartz that I had choose, therefore, my ID had given me another option for a similar yet much more nicer and of course more expensive Quartz. For a perfectionist in design, I will not just compromise for a cheaper alternative and cry later with regrets. I'd rather endure a little more pain for now and enjoy the beautiful kitchen for a very long time... So made the switch to Colour Quartz

  17. HI. Thank you. Getting keys next week so stay tune for reno updates.
  18. Hi. Well, I went to from the big to the small and from IDs to normal contractors but somehow perhaps what I wanted is not common therefore the couldn't deliver and even if they do, they are charging ridiculously high. Just because its not a common concept. Either they want to give me a alternative of Scandinavian or Victorian. Which neither or that I wanted. I was very specific on my design and very specific on what goes where with exact material and exact measurements and dimensions. I went to all with a large printed floor plan and mood board. But just do not know why they are not keen to provide me their service. So I scarp all and stick with my ID as he don't push me and allow me to self design my place and him just providing services. Good luck with your search. I wish you all the best in your journey. Am collecting my keys next week. So stay tune for the renovations updates.
  19. Hi. The code is MARMO11. Good luck with your renovations.
  20. Hi. Got the marble look tiles from Hafary. I believe it's about $2.40psf. Hope that helps.
  21. Hi, The quartz are from iQuartz. Product name is Bianca Ariston. Hope that helps.
  22. HI. Yes Scottish walnut is the colour. Its a very deep brown. Not black. Apparently used to seeing only Evorich but there's another supplier that provides HERF as well. I choose the Europe Unique instead as they have the colour selection that I wanted as Evorich colours are way to light for me. Options were given by my ID. So choose the colour instead of the supplier brand. Hope that helps.
  23. Finally made that decision to change from the pinkish granite to the white marble like Quartz for the kitchen counter top. Though I have to Top up on the cash, I guess it will be all worth it...
  24. HERF flooring for the whole house including kitchen
