I found this lights today from Brokis called memory. Very cute and colorful Too bad it is quite expensive, and one piece is not enough. But I really like the witty idea, and its colours.

Max is very handsome! Our sheltie has pointy and long muzzle and not much white fur. He is also a bit timid and sometime shy, but we love him anyway. He has been with us for 8 years. He will sit if we ask him, but sometime run away if we want to take picture He is good with the children, I guess it is part of their shepherd instinct.

Slightly off topic now. Need some advice with rice cooker. How do you usually store the rice cooker? My current rice cooker just stay on a small table beside my dining table, and it never moves except for cleaning. Its position looks awkward and untidy, but it is not practical to hide it as we use it 3 times a day. I need a better solution for my new kitchen. Any idea on where to "park" the rice cooker, easy to access from dining area, but look tidy and good. I've considered to put inside a cabinet, but it need to be outside when cooking, if not the steam will damage the cabinet. To put it on the kitchen counter is more practical but doesn't look very nice. I am considering to ask the contractor to create a special nook for it. Please do share your solution on rice cooker. I also want to buy new better looking rice cooker, preferably with stainless steel inner pot.

Initially I want to have a dog door between my kitchen and laundry room for my Shetland sheepdog. His food, drink and toilet will be located at laundry room. Something like this : But we decided to change the door there to frosted glass sliding door so the kitchen will be brighter, so contractor said dog door can't be done on glass sliding door. Hopefully my dog can open the new sliding door. In my current home he can open my 1.2m width sliding door with his paw. So, I guess shouldn't be a problem. This is him posing:

This is the progress today, one of the shower wall has finished. Look nice and tidy. We choose tile that comes with wavy groove, so the groove lines are not obvious. Smaller pattern is more suitable for small space.

Oh ya, the toilet issue is quite unique in this area. I have to admit that the idea of installing "masticating toilet" pop up in my mind, but I guess this will not be approved ; for basement in commercial building maybe, but not in HDB. Another option is compost toilet better forget this idea hahaha. So, one toilet will do.

Thanks for the vote everyone! Adidaem, thanks for reminding me to check Lightcraft. I went there when I renovated my old flat, but forgot to visit them this time. They have the birdcage light in their website

Today went out to search for pendant light. Looking for something suitable for balcony area. Option 1 is something similar to Raffles hotel or Cluny court light, but not sure where to find this type of light. Option 2 is maybe a little bit more heritage feel Option 3 nice and practical, but will it be too industrial? Option 4 something different and more outdoor feels, but I guess after a while will catch dust... Option 5 something that has heritage element and has outdoor feel, but will it be too much? I haven't decide which one is more suitable.....

Just bought this sink today, Belfast. I got the last piece, display set, only got 5% discount. I also like the wood counter top, but I think it will not last long, Quartz will be easier to maintain and last longer.

The idea is from B&B italia, so the TV will be hidden inside cabinet

This is the revised design for living room. I make it neutral to allow flexibility decorating. Also want minimal joint for the cabinet doors.

Hei that looks nice! But too bad I think it is a little bit too late for us to order from Taobao.
-
WAH! actually I just got the information about the shipping cost. Since I was pre ordered, they didn't have shipping information back then. That is very expensive! I will try to email them and ask if they have any other shipping option.

Hi Makanology, I actually found the antique gold version of the vintage tap (from brand called Samuel Heath). There is a shop in Park Mall that sell it. It is gorgeous!! But also come in gorgeous price, a little bit higher than Grohe. So since we have limited budget, got to stick to the stainless steel version..

Sure, it is called exhale fans, can just google it. It has online store, so can just check the price there, different colour has slightly different price. But as I mentioned, it is a start up company, I actually pre ordered their first batch of product, so I am taking risk here.

Here are some items that we chose: Tiles for toilet and shower wall - we chose this because it reminds us of Gaudi's mosaic, looks unique and a little bit earthy. I chose the white version, and a darker blue one as accent For the tap we chose a little bit vintage looking. But I am still not really sure - are they too "pretty"? For ceiling fan, we ordered this bladeless fan from kickstarter
