Guess becos yours is a new flat? Guess HDB thinks young couples don't really cook much and a big kitchen would be a waste! I actually wanted to make it smaller..but the hacking costs too much !!

Hmmm...calculated..around 12 sq m.. resale flat mah..so the kitchen is normally bigger..nowadays the new flats comes with really small kitchen..

Hehheh...that's my intention! Hide all the pots n pans! Maybe it's the angle of the pictures..gives the illusion that it's huge..after putting up all the cabinets not much space to walk around! Total damage 50k.. excluding aircon + sanitary wares + lightings..haven't buy furniture..waiting to see how much $$$ left... That's why no budget to do up the rest of the house..only did up kitchen, master bedroom, bar counter and three toilets (very basic..just shower, WC and basin) But I love my kitchen lots!!

Hmmm...yeah...that's what my FSM said too.. I like the tiles..but I tot my ID would do some 'pattern' with them...it turns out he did 1 whole wall green and the rest white..will have to see how it really looks like when i get back..

Hub sent me some updates..all toilet walls done..hmmm....they looked kinda plain on second thoughts.. Did up a new wall for the kitchen..FSM said kitchen entrance cannot be bigger than the main entrance..anyone heard of that?

Gonna miss my house and reno..have to go Perth for a work trip for 2 weeks!

They just finished tiling 2 walls of the toilet on the ground floor..

Would still need to have toilet bowl leh..otherwise have to walk out just to go toilet in the middle of the night!

I may not buy a bathtub afterall...the MBR toilet too cramp..

Wall papers removed..it looks brighter already! My tiles just arrived today, together with the cement Tiles for my toilets..love the 'pop-out' circles! The salesperson said this only consumes $5 of electricity a month..dunno how true.. $2200...lucky can pay by installments..24 months..filter costs $60, UV lights (to kill bacteria) $160..need to change once a year.. Quite a lot of hospitals using it..esp to make milk for new born babies..bacteria-free..can set exact temp you want.. Yeah! Loved it lots too!! Am paying by installments..$90 a month for 24 mths..at least won't feel too much pinch! They have cheaper models too..around $800 i think..but can't adjust temp lor..

Me planning to get the Mit inverter system 4 too...seems that the only way I can install 4 units is to get the inverter..otherwise not enough power..still waiting for quote..How much you paid for yours?

Found the water dispenser I want!! Dispenses ice cold, boiling hot water and normal temp. water! Can preset 4 diff. temps of water! No more boiling water or storing water in the fridge!

No more pixs today..the whole house looked like a disaster zone..didn't really go in...stood outside..they have not cleared the mess yet..
