  1. eh, the faucet was not eligible for free shipping...not sure why, maybe box was oversized....the box it came in was almost half of the size of the sink's box!
  2. Thx so much guys! Erm, how do you post pix huh?? I must be very daft, still can't figure out! : / I have sent email to Amazon last night abt the faucet, no reply yet. Strange cos they are usually quite fast. Also emailed Kraus and forwarded them the picture. Based on the picture, Kraus advised that I shd get a replacement from Amazon....so I've submitted online request for return/replacement liao. Lucky the sink and faucet arrived much earlier than expected, and my installation got pushed back a few days. Hopefully if Amazon ships out a replacement immediately, I should still be in time for the scheduled installation. Fingers crossed!! And KIM! Finally, I understand what you meant by the beautiful sound of the sink! I went around knocking a few sinks locally and they all sounded about the same, even one where the salesperson proclaimed was the best quality in her shop, so I had not understand what you were saying. Din go to the super high end shop la cos I know cannot afford, so dun want to torture myself. Yesterday I opened my Kraus, knock on it, and voila, instant revelation!
  3. Hi hi, It's because the Kraus 32" sold my Amazon is out of stock, **** There are other sellers for the same sink, but they may not ship to Sg. I ended up ordering the 30", and it arrived yesterday. B E A U T I F U L ! I finally understand what Kim meant by the muted lovely sound of heavy duty sinks Cheers!
  4. HELP HELP! I could not resist, so I took the plunge & placed order for the Kraus faucet (like yrs) last Friday with fingers crossed that it will arrive not too late....to my surprise, it arrived this morning with my sink shortly after I left for work!! Woo Hoo!! BUT my heart sank when I opened the package and found the plastic cover at the tailpiece of the faucet broken into several pieces! I also noticed that the hot & cold water copper pipes drawn in the manual were straight, but my cold water pipe is angled/bent. Do you still remember how your faucet looked when it arrived in the box, before it was installed? I scrolled back to your picture and noticed that your cold water pipe also looked angled/bent, and your faucet does not seem to have that plastic cover at the tailpiece. My packaging was not damaged and everything else looks good, so I'm not sure if my faucet is actually ok or if it's damaged. The pieces of broken plastic was alarming, but I'm not sure if the broken plastic cover serves any purpose and I'm hoping that it may be just some protective cover that's meant to be removed before installation...pardon my ignorance! Will be terok if I have to do any exchanges Wanted to post a pix so you can see what I'm talking about, but paiseh, could not figure out how to do that! Hee Thankfully though, the sink is BEAUTIFUL!! No regrets at all for buying this, just wished it was my original purchase, the 32", since the faucet is so huge
  5. So envious of your sink and faucet I'm still waiting for my Kraus 32" sink....5 days after ordering they tell me no stock?!?! Sigh...have switch to the smaller 30" sink and fingers crossed it will arrive soon. Love love love the look of your faucet too, but now too late to order liao unless I wanna consider priority shipping, so will shop around locally over the weekend. Boo hoo...
  6. Good to hear, 7 years and no problem! Grohe shd be good quality I guess, will go check it out
  7. After anxiously waiting for 5 days, I finally emailed Amazon to ask them why I'm still waiting for a shipment date for my sink....and then they told me there's NO MORE STOCK?? Haiyo, talk abt bad luck ( So I've canx my order and re-order the 30" instead....and keeping my fingers crossed that it will be delivered asap after their 4th July holidays. Of all the raves of how fast everyone has received their purchases from Amazon, I think I'm the only unlucky one
  8. Thx Kooky! May I ask where you bought your faucet and the model? I've just finished reading your t-blog, your reno process is so interesting and it was really nice to see the transformation! I regret not taking any before pix, and actually, have not taken any in progress pix too! No time plus too lazy and too late now anyways Your place is nicely done up and your girl is super cute
  9. Thx Kim! You're the one that got the Kraus sink fan club started right?? I've also recently just bought a 32" from Amazon, and can't wait to receive it I must be one of those unlucky ones, cos almost everyone got their sink in a week or less... Mine has been 4 days and I am still waiting for Amazon to cfm a shipping date! Wondering what happened I saw this faucet on Amazon too, lovely!! But there's a fair bit of reviews abt it leaking, so I thought better get something locally in case it needs any repairs, exchanges, etc... Will be a nightmare w/ shipping costs if I buy online!
  10. Very nice! It's prob way too early, but any problems w/ the faucet thus far? I'm also considering a pull out spray faucet, but read so many reviews that these type of faucets are prone to leakages and problems!
  11. I'm getting a 32" single bowl square kitchen sink, and think it will be good to have a kitchen faucet with pull out spray to reach the 4 corners when cleaning up the sink. I'd like the sink area to be clutter free, so a retractable spray will be good. Is it better to get a kitchen faucet that comes with a pull out spray (preferred cos less clutter as only 1 faucet) OR get a normal faucet plus a separate spray arm? A big concern from reading some reviews is that these type of faucets and sprays seems very prone to leaking and problems! I've never used these before, always only used normal faucets. Anyone has a good brand/model to recommend? Or should I stay away from sprays? Thx!
  12. OK. Placed order for the Kraus 32" square. Chose standard shipping based on all the fast deliveries everyone seems to have experienced. Now wondering if I shd have just paid $12 more for expedited shipping, since I do need it before 10th July!! Hmm... Fingers crossed for early delivery and beautiful sink!!
  13. Keen on a pyrolytic oven & considering Bosch. Anyone currently using one? Is it worth the price tag?? Sales lady at best denki steer me towards Brandt cos it's $1k cheaper. But I prefer Bosch cos of the child lock buttons & control... My oven will be below the hob so my 3yo can reach & play w/ the controls...
  14. 32" Kraus sink owners...is yr sink installed in the usual 600mm depth cabinets? Any problem fitting sink + faucet within the cabinets?
  15. Thx Kooky! Wow 11", that's deeper than the Kraus!. The Elkay sink I was looking at is 9". Glad to hear 11" is ok cos u & hubby's abt same height as me & hubby I jus viewed the Elkay at Heritage today, previously only saw on their catalogue. Tried knocking on it hoping to hear a solid sound, like wat the Kraus owners hv said abt their sinks. But seriously, I dun think I can hear any diff after knocking on various sinks. Hmm. I did notice that Kraus is #16 gauge, that will be 1.6mm, plus it's 304 (18/10) ss... If so, it'll be better than the Elkay which is 1.2mm and most likely 304 (18/8)... I am now more inclined towards Kraus, but jus so worried abt buying something I can't see & touch before paying...
