  1. before the freak coe, i was lookin at between 1 to 2 year old Cat-B car to replace my 3yr old Cat-B car, Dealers selling at ridiculously high price, no chance to get e car direct from owners, take in my price at decent value. Tot go compare similar Cat-B car but brand new, off course in terms of value, was similar to the resale units but take in my car at "lau sai" price. fancy them offering you 60% off my new car price for 3yr old knn....new car cheap, ur own car they take in at dirt hahaha so i am keeping my car for probably a year or two afterall its super duper underutilised
  2. got to kill your statements abit, the S$2 COE was for Cat-A and Cat-A is for vehicles below 1600cc, which means the Toyota Wish and Honda Stream will not fall under this category
  3. serene center has its own parking garage within alternatively, take a bus or run there
  4. why not take ur trip a tad further, at HV, you will have your video rental shop leow. what sort of movies are you after? if the titles match, i hv some OEM and Originals that i maybe able to loan to you
  5. i would like to respond to both your answers but both abit off topic sorry hor 1....Taxi Driver - I tot of going to apply for the vocational license for the fun/interest 2.....Video Rental Shops i would presume DVD? has anyone here got a bluray player where they are also into movie rental so we can share bluray movie rentals??
  6. downstair stalls has major attitude problem - me boycott them leow upstair stall is not bad but does not have the bells and whistles like the downstairs stall thats why loose out plus the upstair stall is a temporary stall as they came from the Mei Ling Street Food Center
  7. doubt its the thin wires that give rise to the damaged ballast but on the same topic, we had wires being fused together for my Halogen Downlights too, the ELCB only trips when the wires reach a certain temperature where the insulation starts to soften and looses its insulative properties. why it happens, hahaha....partly my fault and partly contractor's. we had sound insulation (fire proof) fibres packed in our false ceiling and l-boxes as we didnt want it to be a source for sound resonance, in the end, the wires were so close to the light housing such that it heats up when the lights are on, however i doubt this anomaly is anywhere like what khriz problem. the contractor should have ensured the wires are away from the light housing while ensuring the sound insulation fibres are in place, anyway thats history leow
  8. well if u ask me it is pretty odd that 2 ballast in one housing can get killed so easily, typically excluding the non-wear/tear parts of the light assembly, the ballast is the most reliable with wear always on the light tube and starter only. is the power rating right for the ballast and light tube, i.e. 32W ballast attempting to light a 42W tube. downard compatible it is but not upward compatible
  9. ok sir, actually not complex, there should not be a need for you to remove the entire light assembly. however, please turn off your electrical mains via MCB prior to doing any electrical works. on the ballast are two sets of wirings, one set is Input from Electrical mains and there will be L-N-E (typically the E will be grounded to the metal chasis of the light housing), when you replace, just remember to identify which wire is which and re-attach onto new ballast accordingly. the other set is the Output to your lighting, if it is flourescent, there would be 4wires, just have them attached back to the ballast accordingly. it is that simple if you ask me, since it is down, why not take this opp to have it replaced with electronic-ballast, then you can do away with the classic starter and lights start without any flicker - supposed to be more energy efficient too (runs cooler) side note - did all 3 ballast fail from the same light housing or are they different light housings? it is very peculiar to have 3 ballast failing. food for thought, could there be another cause resulting in all 3 ballast to fail so close in time? hope the instruction helps
  10. if you trust me and if you already have a replacement ballast, i can help u
  11. if anyone has really gone to level 41 or even 42, the view is really breathtaking especially with the calm that you experience, really shiok. had that opportunity in the earlier days when it wasnt locked, if now still got opportunity, let me know okie
  12. of course sure n konfirm.....saw them on saturday as my car was parked there mar....to be precise, they were lying on the "islands" or others may call "kerb" times have changed leow.....
  13. not only the roof garden, even deck 4 of MSCP (above KOFU or Jewellery) shop also good enuff for students hanky panky, fancy them lyin on the floor like picnic and "rubba rubba" somemore....shiok
  14. rats i hardly see but millipedes i see many, every day many are wriggling around on the path between blk89 and blk90 and many are trampled on leaving a messy inprint but still many continue to surface.... pest control? i think these pest control are not effective or receiving "coffee treats" instead of treatments hahahaha
  15. my bills with the new tariffs are $20 WHY? Got rebate if not wrong cos saw a deduction of $60 from the total but haha seriously is cos not around for a fair period of time
  16. off topic abit, isnt it funnie that if one takes the elevator in front of kofu, the levels that the elevator stops on tallies with the markings of the MSCP, however if one uses the elevators in blk89 which is linked to the MSCP, the levels no longer tallies. i understand the reason behind but anyone can think of a good valid reason why is there a need to have this difference in numbering sequence? always have to spend some time to explain to visitors......
  17. the last 2 days, the bowls have been moved to a corner of a non-parking lot of the mscp, initially it was left behind a parking lot. absolutely lack of civic consciousness....wondering why the cleaner did not have it removed too.
  18. did anyone see some incosiderate typical singaporean/malaysian dump 2 toilet bowls at the mscp of blk 88, one of them was a bright green in colour. i really admire these pples brain cells, really thinking out of the box
  19. precisely....they are welcome to come as they want, party as much as they want, entertain as much as the crowd wants, what I do not agree is the need to spruce up, barricade walkways, reserve parking lots etc to spruce up the place on an impromptu basis for such a visit does not have the same analogy to havin visitors to one;s home. the cost used to spruce up comes from the community versus sprucing up one;s home is individual;s cost. anyway so much said....
  20. corporate world i dont really care as it is all about business and survival but for such estate activities, what survival are we talkin about? it is all already monopolised in a conglomerate style....where is there a need to be a nuisance to the residence anyway yes there was a funeral during the block party, it was unfortunate that the funeral had to be relegated to the void deck instead of blk91A pavillion
  21. for me, personally i am not so interested nor eager for these pple to come visit the estate as i feel that whoever who is organising such an event is pretty much a ball carrier....why do i say so? 1. specially arrange for cleaners to spruce up the place - why cant they leave the place in its original filth. let them see what it is like on a normal day 2. block up many common passage - is there a need to go to such an extent to inconvenience all the residence 3. reserve a huge number of parking lots in the carpark - is this fair for residence who have paid for these parking spaces let whoever wants to come just come, it is fine to organise games, generate noise, etc...as this is part of the atmosphere and community living but going the extra mile mentioned above is just uncalled for
  22. the only remaining grouse would be your mentioned "stains" and this does not warrant you to with-hold the full balance payment to the contractor as the job is completed to a certain extent. i would recommend you negotiate to come to a common agreement/settlement.
  23. judging from what you mentioned and what i picked up while reading other threads on this forum, it seems that the alignment of one of the discharge pipes between the bowl n main pipe plays apart. thus, the bowl maybe functioning fine but because of the act of replacement, the alignment became "right" versus the initial "wrong"
  24. this is a confidence booster that our unit's values have already increased significantly....
  25. i am jus curious in a very straight sense, the way your layout is presented, you probably would have got the idea from an ID if not a Contractor. why do you not trust either of them and seek inputs from us who may not have the vast experience plus whatever either of them committ if it fails, you are able to seek recourse. it jus puzzles me....
