  1. I've bought a unit at Blk 357. Hee I was told by aunt who's staying at Sembawang, thta her friend(who's working at NTUC) told her that the 1st floor at the Sembawang HDB office will be converted to a NTUC supermarket. I could see renovation work carrying on there, so hope it's true Hopefully Sembawang shopping centre will turn out to be something good too (bought over by Capitaland - who owns - Tamp Mall, J8, Plaza Singapura, etc...) Refering to a report here http://www.channelnewsasia.com/stories/sin.../286948/1/.html The Woodlands Coastal Promenade project, which is up for tender, will also be ready in four years. Wonder what could the project be? Hopefully it's something exciting as well If the projected sports complex at Sembawang goes through, there's only more good things to come for Sembawang Residents. I can't wait to move in!!
  2. went down to my unit to try my luck this evening, surprisingly, the tilers are still around so i was lucky, managed to went in to take a look, they are tiling up toilets and the wall of my kitchen. Was told that they would need about a week to finish up the entire tiling. HDB are still painting up the external at blk 35+, not too sure about 33+ though. It seems that our toilet seats, basin will all be changed too, because i've seen them hacking it away.
  3. (Just an update after my first meeting with bennedict) - During on first session with bennedict, he just casually commented that he'll visit my new unit (which is currently undergoing rescaping from HDB - they are retiling my tiles because it's a 6yr vacanted EA) if he's around my area, so me and my wife took it on context that it was pure sales talk. Shockingly, when i visited my unit this evening, the china tilers told me that there was this guy who came to visit my unit. And I knew it was Bennedict, upon confirmation with him, he really did pop down to my unit to take a look (it's his birthday today and he even took the trouble to do it) I'm really impressed with his service and sincerity. All this extra effort even when we haben't confirm him as my ID yet. Really thumbs up service Me and my wife are very sure that he's going to be our first and last ID
  4. candy princess, you're at 357a? Wow...i'm gonna just be next to you, my's 357. Received a call from the HLE department this evening informing me about my HLE being approved. I was even asked if i needed my unit earlier, i told them it will be nice. Then the officer told me, she will note it in a memo and pass it to the Sales Unit...yiippEeee! Can't wait for keys collection~~~
  5. wow cool! I've looked for Bennedict. What about you?
  6. wow that seems fast for you kayser. Which blk have you gotten? ID - i've narrowed down to Intra Design and Earnest Interior.
  7. wow! okok. Better make appointment with my wife to go down to take a look. keke
  8. Wow! That's a very good buy for your WMF. Do you know when is the promotion ending?
  9. just drove to my new place to take a look, took some photograph of the tiles that they are going to use. If anyone of you are keen to see some of the photograph, please feel free to pm, i can email them to you. But of course, i wouldnt know which tiles is for which area. hehe. The tiles do look not bad though (my personal view ba, keke) Congraluation!! !!
  10. went down to my unit and was lucky to find the door open, saw the china workers working inside there, identified myself as the owner and they invited me in to take a look. Hee. Tiled have been hacked and cleared and they are 'screeding' (hope i got the spelling correct) the flooring. Saw the new tiles that they are going to lay, quite nice.( My wife likes it), hopefully their workmanship will be just as nice. Before i left, somehow 'bribed' them with drinks and they were so happy. Any idea would the wires be rewired?
  11. gosh, it seems everyone else's HLE already approved. How come my is taking so long.
  12. maybe i'm wrong. I was told that if you were to ship only battery to singapore, will have problem. But if it's being shipped with the roomba/scooba, then not a problem. Personally, still prefer to go through gk robots(much easier, leave the hassle to them )
  13. have you all check with HDB, have your HLE been approved? I called up the HLE department yesterday and was shock to find out that the sales department have yet to pass it to them for processing. I've submitted the documents since 2weeks ago. This whole process seems to take so long hor..
  14. my stated, 25th july. Been going there almost every sunday to have breakfast at sunplaza with my son and wife, then pop by hopping to have a look at the progress. My train always pass by sembawang station every morning, so i always try to 'monitor' the exterior touch up. Everyday looks almost the same, how wish everything can speed up a little faster. Hee
  15. irobot does comes with sensor, if it detects a step down or something, it will be smart enough to avoid the area. hi, you might want to try and contact gkrobots and enquire on the model that you're looking for. Maybe they could help bring in that model for me. enquiry@gkrobots.com I enquired too, because i wanted to get the intellibin version for pets and was quoted by that that they will help get in the model that i want. But in the end, i tried out their demo version, and found that the scheduler version is more than enough for my needs
  16. great great...more and more neighbours!!
  17. 5800 - can use water / clorox 5900 - can use vinegar / clorox but not water. According to GK Robots, it's something to do with the density of the liquid which will be detected by 5900, thus water won't work. Ya, there should be no demo for scooba, but maybe you can special enquire from them
  18. indeed, the scooba price really attractive. almost half of what you'll pay in major stores such as courts. GKrobots don't do home trials for their scooba unlike their roomba. may you could try to see if they do do demos then. 5800 unlike 5900, you could opt to use water instead of the costly clorox solution(cost about $25 per 32oz)
  19. would strongly recommend to anyone who's keen in irobot, go to gkrobots and ask for trial. 3 days demo. Try it, to be convince. I did
  20. they provide 14days warranty. If you need longer warranty period, you could actually purchase it. But i would say, irobot quite durable. If we maintain it well, shouldn't see the need to get additional warranty. Just make sure we empty the bin faithfully, clean up the brushes every 1-2mths or so, i don't see the machine failing on us (unless we ever accidentally drop it, etc)
  21. hi, maybe you all can try getting from gkrobots http://www.gkrobots.com/ I've gotten my from them. Tried their free 3days demo and was totally impressed with it, i got the Roomba Scheduler. I have a jack russel at home and trust me, this robot really cleans well. You'll be shock at the amount of hair, dust, fur that it picks up in one go. GK Robots get their product direct from US, but then, their power adapter is configured for local wattage, so basically just bring back home and use immediately. Those who are keen, i would strongly recommend ask for the 3day free trial. You'll be impressed by this machine.
  22. just gotten a reply from the HDB officer : "Currently, your key collection is still around 6 months from the date of your booking. If the repair works are completed earlier, we would schedule you for an earlier key collection" selenal and candyprincess, your units are also undergoing the hacking and retiling process right? Saw my block, they are also painting and touching up the exterior
  23. Wow. Great to see many new neighbours here. I've applied for Blk 357 Admiralty drive. Can't wait to get my keys too
  24. Met up Bennedict today to discuss about my new house. Spent 2 hours talking to him, would say he's really patient, sincere definitely not pushy at all. Felt very comfortable discussing with him. Even my wife likes him alot too. Thumbs up for his service. We wanted him to come up with ideas to decorate up our balcony, he told us to DIY instead(even propose to bring us shopping to buy those coffee table and high chair) Can't wait to see our first quote from him which is due in 2 weeks time, and he will also be bringing us to see 'showflats' of his satisfied customers too.
