Hi I am urgently looking for a reliable electrician or someone who knows how to install lights to hang up/install 10 lights I bought from Ikea for my new 3 rm bto flat. I am not needing any rewiring or anything as I am hanging them at hdb's original lighting points. Just that simple. But I was quoted $35 for each lighting installation plus an additional $50 transport fee by one electrician I found online. So total adds up to $400. Have I been over quoted??? Is this the market rate just to install one light? $35? I bought 4 small ceiling hanging lights and 6 normal ceiling lights. Please anyone, this is URGENT. P.S If anyone has a reliable cheaper electrician, pls pm me. Greatly appreciated. =(

Hi please, I recently been quoted by a contractor almost 4k just for laying flush false ceiling ( that means ceiling at one same height through whole house ) and installing flat panel led lights in my living room, 2 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms. There are 26 lights together, all provided by me. My place is just a very very small 3 room bto. Is this price reasonable? If not, can anyone else PLEASE recommend a reliable and much cheaper contractor? I thought false ceiling is cheap, but just the false ceiling already costs me 2k..... I need do the lights by coming Friday. =( PLEASE ANYONE!

Hi I am completely clueless about renovation and their relevant contacts. After much struggles, I finally found the perfect flat led panel downlights I like, they are great as they are only about 1.5 cm thick. But now I do not know who to approach to do up the false ceiling and all the electrical things. Usually does the electrician do up the false ceiling as well or I need get someone to do up the false ceiling before finding him? And also, I also do not know if I need false ceiling. I know usually one need false ciling for installing downlights? but mine is the new bto where the wiring is all concealed up? The ceiling looks sort of like a false ceiling to me, esp. I realised how low it is? Or is that a real ceiling and I still need a false ceiling? If the electrician is not going to do up the false ceiling, can anyone give me a reliable contact for the false ceiling? Has to be really reliable. =( And also, my main concern, how much does it cost usually to do up the false ceiling for a 3 room bto ( whole house; living area, kitchen, 2 bedrooms and even 2 bathrooms ), then plus the electrician's charges for installing all my 26 flat panel downlights? Someone please help me asap. I need do up my ceiling and lights asap. Thanks. =(
