  1. I would recommend you to install a IP cam with Z-Wave sensors! This is because the system will send you a notification if they detect any abnormality and you can use your IP cam to live view your home. You can even activate your alarm if necessary. My sister got a basic Z-Wave security system in her condo for a very affordable price, around $600 from eVida Pte. Ltd. I am planning to install in my house too! 2. Hi Likabledezign, I have visited your website and find it interesting. My friend told me about the neutral wire problem and asked me to seek a professional electrician to help me with the installation. I would have to configure the software, which I am not too sure how to do it. Do you guys offer the service to install neutral wire and configure the software?
  3. I have come across to this video on Zwave home from 2GIG. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l7WiYB1ce2w Especially like the part which you will be alerted when someone opens a drawer containing sensitive items. My mum has been complaining to me that she sees the maid hanging around the master bedroom very often, and warned me to keep the valuables drawer safe. Does anyone knows more about Zwave and whether there is an installer (like 2GIG) available in Singapore? I really hope someone can help me with this!
  4. Hi recently I have visited a friend's house and was really amazed at how "smart" the home is with automatic sensors that can be controlled by his smartphone effortlessly. He told me that is home automation. I can control his home's TV, lighting and even power sockets using an app on his iPhone. He has even showed me it is possible to use voice control on an Android tablet. Thinking that it must have been a huge investment to install such a system, I am curious to find out how much the system has cost him. Surprisingly, it is very affordable and definitely much lesser than the $15k++ which my contractor has quoted me 4-5 years back. It costed him only about $4k to install small sensors and adapters in the house, and these devices communicate wirelessly using Zwave standard. I am keen to install such a system in my house not just for the convenience, it is also able to track my energy consumption and switch off my sockets behind the TV console. Living in a smart home also makes me feels proud of my home. However my friend told me that he has gotten his devices abroad, since it is not available in Singapore. He also did his own installation work. I am not a technologically savvy lady and its not very nice to ask him to install for me in my house. I want to find out more information on the home automation services in Singapore and whether is there any company which provides the installation. Hope someone could furnish me with more information. Thank you very much!
