Our laminate color for kitchen, especially the grey is subjected to good lighting. And unfortunately its not easy to capture the right 'grey' to the eye on camera. Tried taking many shots and finally this is the closest color you would see if you step into my kitchen
Taobao stuff and Heritage stuff arrived!

surprisingly the pastel goes very well with the light colored wood.
that wardrobe is slightly different... It'll be white border around the double pink pastels.

with a tight budget, would love to see how you achieve it

Pastel inspired design
So our pastel arrangements will come in terms of our decorations, the divider wall, certain parts of the wall and most importantly, our carpentary. Inspiration is taken from this picture and we sought to achieve this for one of the wardrobe and another as per the design below.
The laminates for my mum's wardrobe (just the 2 shades of pink with white border/frame)
The ideas and laminate chosen for our wardrobe
Unfortunately the green is not available thus we have to make do with the pink, ethan blue and fresco blue. pink in the middle... Hopefully it won't be too shabby!

Wanna ask if you guys know where to get this particular decal in similar font? Tried finding in etsy and SG shops but simply cant find
Today is PAINTING DAY! First coat of paint shall begin! Painter help us tape properly our aircon to protect it.
This is the sliding windows we will be going for. Cheaper than 4 panel and something i prefer in terms of design and functionality.

3D is out but I've resent it back for editing. For this ID, they only do 3D on carpentary and not including toilet ones. I've feedback this to them and thought it should be included. All in all, i'm pretty sure the end product will be way better than its supposed to be. Our design focus on pastels, and most of the pastel stuff don't come from carpentary. Wall painted with pastel colors are also not reflected in 3D.
ELECTRICAL IS DONE!
All the shifting, relocating, new points. Finally, headache gone... I thought that was the most troublesome part of the renovation!
Boxing-up
Boxup of top area to accomodate aircon piping after area was hacked off.
Boxing up of door area into MBR
Flushing of wall in MBR
Divider in living room (Gonna be a superb and subtle piece!)

Hacking/Works by Tiler
So far so good, the curbs are up in no time and the hacking of wall is down in a day, still waiting for it to be made good.
The electrical point discussion was pretty tedious and i was quite taken aback how much work is needed.
Originally wanted additional ports for living room. End up deciding to retain the TV area's power points and simply use an extension cord which will be hidden within the TV console, 2 extension cords to be exact Since that area is just a small area, some plants/lights/decoration could just block the wires away from sight.
Now i finally understand why its difficult to plot the power point relocation especially if you buy furniture yourself, its almost impossible to plot it as accurately compared to built in furniture. If you do built in, eveyrthing will be aligned sui sui one. If you purchase off the shelf, when you eventually shift the furniture around, it'll deviate from your initial plan...
