  1. Hi Bro, Can I ask for some assistance in quoting for ceiling fans for my upcoming resale house pls... I would need 3 ceiling fans with LED lights(for bedrooms), 2 ceiling fans without lights(for living n dining).. I would really prefer something that's woody designed cos it will really match e theme of my house... Of cos with so many fans to get n a budget to work with, hope to find a good brand with a good price... Please advise thank u so much! Lya

  5. Hi Happycouple thank u so much! Wish u a beautiful home too.. Am counting down e days to e delivery.. Am closing into 9th mth in a week n am aching n feeling it all over! Am expecting delivery sometime in May itself no hope to last til my due date in June haha..
  6. Hi Bykaraane, thank u so much for ur kind words n compliments... Makes me feel appreciated haha... Yea it wasn't easy, n I'm e sort who can't sit back n let others do e job, will never be up to my satisfaction... I jus had to dig my hands into everything n make sure they were up to my expectations.. From major reno to nitty gritty things around the house I jus had to be satisfied n I must say it paid off! My ideology is, if u want it done any better, do it urself...so jus had to push myself to e limits but well it's over n now is e biggest part of it all-MAINTENANCE! Haha... Seems like it's gonna be a real task maintaining e house to keep it in tip top state.. Wit kids around, double e work as they give no hoot to fingerprints n what not lol... But it's part n parcel of it isn't it... Want a pretty house, work to keep it in shape 😅
  7. Hi tirimisu, I actually got it from a UK seller on ebay... E mat inclusive of shipping cost me S$70 but cos I loved it so much n just cudnt find a nice runner mat ard here, insisted on buying it in... Cud pass u e link if u really want though.. Lya
  8. Hey asychanbaby...thanks so much! Great compliments n boost haha.. Wish u all e best on ur home n reno too!
  9. Hi Keyik well it will seem so far away now but once u start on it,u won't even realise it's done n over haha... Hi Minnie thanks so much, love ur compliments.. I agree wit u.. Initially we cudnt imagine as well but apparently wen it all set in, it worked out pretty well.... Hope it gives fellow 3 roomers hope tat they r not stuck wit miserable space to work wit... N yea now it's waiting time for baby to arrive.. Been sooo tired lately.. N wit all e pressure n stress put mentally n physically over e whole house setting up phase feel so done wit being preggy n expect to come on anytime soon haha!
  10. Hi Minnie thanks a lot for ur compliments... We engaged Glen from Atelier Concept Pte Ltd n I have to give it to him for being so true to schedule n getting everything done to what we wanted... When rectifications had to be done he agreed to do it n perfected areas for me which really made a difference.. He also gave us many complimentary items n isn't the nitty gritty picky kind who charged on every little details.. Tried to accommodate our requirements n needs whenever possible.. Would like to take tis opportunity to thank him n convey our gratitude... Overall with extra add ons etc it all summed up to close to $30k on reno.. Excluding accessories n items...
  11. Common toilet Our now messy bomb shelter with racking done That's about it...! Hope our reno blog has shed some light to fellow 3 roomers.. Wud like to add tat u need not fear of having less space to manipulate around etc.. Somehow the space is jus sufficient for our needs.. Not too much excess n definitely not teeny weeny cramped. U gotta plan out ur space n use of space n everything will fall in nicely. Guests actually commented our place looks like a HDB only til e doorway but once stepped in is like a 2 bedroom condo haha... So we believe a beautiful home can be created not jus out of 5rooms or bigger units but it's e quality n space planning of our home.. Space has never been sufficient for people, no matter how huge a house is, ppl still complain of insufficient space n not having enough. Thus let's be contented wit our smaller but no-lack-in-comparison 3 room homes!
  12. Our washer n dryer stacked Passageway, n our bomb shelter door painted in dark grey chalkboard grey cos I didn't wanna use stark black which wud have made e passageway look dark n gloomy wit a sudden patch of black so got black+white chalkboard paint n got painter to mix to a dark grey... Turned out very well n blends wit our greyish themed living.. Success n e kids love it! Kids room with bunk bed with pull out unit n study area.. Pardon e darkness cudnt get a e right lighting MBR wardrobe area, also e first thing to see wen entering e room n view from passageway.. MBR bed area, with our King storage bed. We feared e whole place might look cluttered n cramped but upon completion it's actually well spaced n enough room for walking n movement. Actually none of e guests said a word tat e house is small or cramped.. Think tat was a success for us.. Space planning works! MBR toilet
  13. Hi all, after a hectic phase of reno, shifting n throwing a housewarming party, we r finally settled down n thot I'll share some completed pics... Here u go.. Living / Dining View towards entrance, our completed pebble wash foyer area.. Kitchen (pardon the messiness) Other side of kitchen View from svc balcony Svc balcony laundry table side, got an ikea table to use as a misc/ laundry table so I can jus fold up my clothes there once they r out from the dryer.. Thankfully after all e scare of insufficient space n odd pipes tat may cause my dryer to stand alone at tis side of e svc balcony, we managed to pull thru our laundry table area haha
  14. Hi there, I thot I cud contribute on tis.. Our dining chandelier lights is one wit white led n warm halogen lights so its 3 tone lighting, white-warm-both. We had a few to n n fros wit e lighting shop cos they delivered e first set faulty, second set came wit 1 of tis same bulb whereas it was supposed to have 4 in total so we had to get them to bring it back n fix it etc. Tis bulb is very sensitive n easily broken cos we tried to fix up wit e spare ones ourselves n damaged a few before we hantam e shop for not fixing for us properly n sending to us n causing us pain. So I clearly have tis pin bulb etched in my mind for all e distress caused haha... I wonder if the shop sells the bulbs alone but at least I know they use it n they were willing to send me some extras wen broke a few. Not aware it's so difficult to find tis bulb in case of anything going wrong later on in future, now I regret not taking extras from them... Maybe u can try this lighting shop I got my lights from. As mentioned my dining lights use tis so they cud carry them. It's DesignLights.. Contact number 6297 0168... Hope I cud help..
  15. Hi Asychanbaby n bykaraane, thank u both for ur best wishes... We r at e end of e tunnel now... Reno is bout 99.9% completed wit one last job to settle which I hope can be done up tomoro.. We r doing the great move tomoro, fri afternoon.. Jus came to bed after e last bit of pack up.. Been a really tiring phase, running to n from our new place monitoring works n deliveries, cleaning up, packing up our stuffs here, finally all seems to be packed n ready to be shifted. Next big task is to unpack n setup e new place tomoro n sat as Sunday is our housewarming event.. So little time so much to do! Haha... But each day we r closer to The Day n are a step ahead with the tasks we are supposed to complete.. Can't wait to sit back n relax, being 8.5mths preggy doesn't give me loads of strength to do heavy manual jobs as well! Haha.. Will definitely take pics of our completed n setup place in e next few days so stay tuned! 😍
  16. Hey hi thanks a lot for ur compliments! Yes it actually doesn't cramp up e space but jus tat e bed will be kinda back to back wit e wardrobe n we asked for a side table beside e bed cos practical wise we may need to place our handphones, table lamp, misc etc there right so thot we might as well get it done.. Hmm true bout resale's extra expense part.. Unless ur doing overlaying of laminates etc which is wat we have done too, hacking n retiling will cost an arm n a leg nowadays.. But of cos wen it comes to renovations, new or old, costs r bound to pile up no matter wat we budget.. Don't feel bad bout changing some of ur ideas cos of budget constraints, I'm sure u have created a beautiful home there as well... Sometimes it's not jus bout spending money but spending money on e right things n having it shine thru... Some people tend to spend a bomb on their reno but wen u look at e whole picture it may seem jus so simple n nothing extroadinarily appealing making u wonder wat did all tat money do for e house.. Whereas some may have spent a substantial amount but it cud be a major transformation to e house, wowing us. Let's all be proud of our unique individualistic fantastic homes.. To each their own... 😍
  17. Hi asychanbaby... Thanks a lot for ur compliments! Yea we love our carpentry turnout too.. They have done a pretty good job on it... As for e bunk bed, we actually copied e idea of e HDB showroom's 3 room kids bedroom design tat we saw at HDB's showflat.. With some minor changes in design which was inevitable as they had to make sure practically it was solid n stable enough, our bunk bed materialized. E kids room had a wall beam which caused an indent at e side e bed wud come n to our surprise they had nicely extended tat portion to be a little ledge area tat cud act like a side table thingy for e top n middle portions.. Good job by my carpenter! I was very insistent from e start tat I didn't want a bulky bunk bed which looked like buy off ones etc otherwise no point in spending so much n customizing it.. E bunk bed alone we were quoted $2.8k.. E study which runs across wall to wall tats 8ft was $1040.. Our 10ft wardrobe was $2.1k if I'm not wrong..e actual cost is not etched in my mind but thereabout... We had initially toyed wit e ideas from hiddenbeds to buy off bunk beds to different layouts/ designs of built in bunk beds n finally settled on tis one..pretty happy wit e turnout which seems to give us lots of free space in e kids room now.. They lack a wardrobe in their room but not wardrobe space entirely as it's jus accessed from our room.. But den it's me who showers n changes them so I access all their clothes so no inconvenience at all too! Hope our layout helps give u some ideas too!
  18. Hi Shibumi, honestly I don't really know bout e comparison on tat.. My ID seemed to advocate e use of white PVC as he felt e top up of bout $20-$30 extra pfr is not worth paying for something tats gonna be covered up by stuffs anyway n e externals is wat people get to see.. Ended up all my carpentry is made wit white PVC internals as much as I really wanted to have coloured internals, if I'm not wrong they call them polygons or something.. Tats all I can enlighten on maybe someone else cud help...!
  19. Hey hi Deadend welcome to Renotalk n we r actually neighbours! Im a 3roomer though n u cud check out my Tblog if ur keen..we r almost done wit reno n r moving in next week! Had been waiting ages til we were called for key collection on 19th March.. We r at 333B n have a beautiful view of e playground n landscape area downstairs too.. Wonder if we r facing e same side of view.. I agree wit e service yard piping issue, I'm having a hard time too, have to fit my washer n dryer stacked up there wonder if it will work, will comment on it after tis Thursday wen I've arranged for e delivery n mounting.. Maybe wud be helpful to fellow riverwalkers on e svc yard layout n appliance placement.. N hi to Maxiblur, ur from Riverwalk too? Nice to see fellow neighbours.. Look forward to sharing our home ideas n turnouts... ☺️
  20. Hi bykaraane, thanks a lot for being happy for us! Tats nice.. I'm really excited too! Lots of things to be coordinated n tied down too, our housewarming event is coming up n from major reno to nitty gritty furnishing, deco n accessories purchases gotta be taken care of,don't tell me bout e packing n moving!!😱can't wait for e tedious part to be over n to be able to sit back in our completed house n enjoy our fruit of labour haha!
  21. Hi no probs my pleasure to share my experience.. Initially wen we opened up our house n saw it for e first time a lot of things seemed very small n cramped for us too but surprisingly as e carpentry n works started to materialise noticed tat it opened up n we had more space den we had initially judged..maybe we r jus too skeptical bout houses being so small nowadays, cramped n impossible etc tat we kinda overlook e actual space..maybe we jus gotta accept n plan our spaces n eventually we will create a nice home which we grow to love day by day.. 😍
