  1. Of course you can. That must see the timing of the house owner.
  2. Hi friend, before a Reno, many people will be like you, " Headache ".... trust me, the more headache you have , the real headache will approach. Stay cool, stay firm and do lot's of research. Stay on the computer whenever you have time, scroll through, search for things you want, email, call or even visit the suppliers etc. One word, cannot be lazy afterall it's you house. Most people will not have "experience" on renovation, afterall we don't renovate our house once a year, so research counts all. I have to admit, before my Reno, I also very headache, don't know where to start.... but times come, you will automatically know what is the next step....... Search whatever items before hand, don't wait until last minute, at least you have time for option. The rest I had already written in my Blog, Good luck and remember to post.
  3. Got people praise sure got people whack. All are just luck. But did a lot of shopping online, if you really want me to chosse one, I prefer AE.
  4. Yes they deal direct with you. So far the DHL very fast 3-5 days arrive. But more Ex than TB
  5. Don't headache. Be cool and sure everything will goes well. Reno is very taxing, be firm to what you want so it will not have many decision to make. Of course comparing and researching is good but not too many of it, you will confuse yourself. My 2 cents worth.
  6. I bought this in Aliexpress. But cannot recalled. I think I did post somewhere in my Blog
  7. Nice ...... bro, no cove lighting in the false ceiling??
  8. Like I said, exchanging or faulty products send by Aliexpress are easier to make amendment. As for Tao Bao, their responsibility stop at the domestic part. Daigou played most of the part. If really to choose where to purchase among this two online site, I still prefer Aliexpress.
  9. Let's say it this way. TaoBao handles domestically. So your order will reach Daigou warehouse and Daigou sent it over to you in Singapore. The responsibility of the TaoBao seller ends at the items sent domestically. Item missing, items damage and whatsoever unpleasant event happens when it reach Singapore, Daigou will always push this here and there. Never happen never knows. But at least i encountered an unpleasant lesson. Why I say Aliexpress much better? Yes they are more expensive, dealing in USD, most of their product also can find in Tao Bao......... But responsibility wise, they are much more better. They deal directly, sent the item to you directly and in between anything not right you can always chat with the seller instantly, they are online most of the time. When you receive your order satisfactory, then Aliexpress will release money to them. Very clear cut, not happy , open a dispute, buyer will win most of the time. That's my experience. Hope it really helps friends here .
  10. Sorry to hear this. I started this topic some time ago where i don't really trust Daigou on their handling and responsibility on the shipment. This is the loopholes................ What ever items not satisfying upon deliver, you can always reject, YES, REJECT ............BUT The shipping back cost will bear by the buyer, not daigou! Who will return a few ten dollars item back and pay hundred for shipment? No one will. So is all luck. As far as I am concerned, Daigou handling and responsibility is not up to expectation. But their phone service is terrific. Afterall, I willing to pay a little more to use service in Aliexpress, so far been so good! IMHO
  11. I had pm all the contacts already. Common friends, got the contact you guys still ask me how much? Where is the warehouse etc ? Call the distributors direct please, I am not his partner nor gaining anything from the recommendation, just a satisfied customer. So you have the contact why still pm me all those question suppose to answer by the seller? I don't know how he quote as in the quantity you will buy from him, so please, check with him directly.
  12. Unless you can be on site everyday, monitoring and scheduling the renovation. If not I think is wise to use an ID. Pay a little save all troubles. They will monitor everything, runs your errands and keep you update. It will be a hassle if you did not engaged an ID if something in between went wrong. A will push to B and B will push to C. At the end of the day, you will be paying more than expected. Renovating is stressful and thrilling. When you see your dream house progressing day by day, you will be very happy. Research is most important. IMHO
  13. Thanks, not really advise lar. But got few points I really would like to share........ - If you installing LED, never save cost, find a good one with good chips and good drivers, remember, what you pay is what you get. - Secondly, I recommend to find an ID who drive, so appointment and site monitoring will always prompt. - Searching for items, make a thorough compare, but bear in mind, the cheapest always have a reason, so this is up to individual to decide. - Make friend with ID because he/she is the one monitoring your entire reno, stay in touch with them. - If can, buy some snacks or drinks for the workers work in your house, remember, they are also human, treat them good and they will definitely put in 101% . Above are my personal point of views.......hope it helps.
