  1. In my case, they told me they needed two weeks to rectify the defects..most of the defects have been rectified, some minor ones still haven't... But I told them my aircon installation has already been arranged so we made an arrangement that I will still go ahead with my Reno first and they can help me to rectify the rest after that... They just indicated on the form so hopefully by then they would not go against their word...
  2. Bedroom 1... pardon for the masking tapes, they were the defects that were found that is pending rectification from BSC... Masterbedroom toilet... pipes for masterbedroom's fancoil are run in the mbr toilet so there wouldnt be any aircon pipes seen in the room except from a small box... I would say that i am happy with the service and overall workmanship from this salesman and installer so far.. have to call them back to install the fancoils once my carpentry are done... =)
  3. so the next thing we had to do was to get our air con pipes installed. did our research and checked out a few quotation from a few different vendors (ah boon from renotalk, timwong, gain city etc). did a comparison btw the price and BTUs , decided to go with gain city. this guy was recommended online and he was very "on the ball" answering all my queries, he was very patient in explaining all the different copper pipes use etc... usually i would whatsapp him all my questions, and he would almost immediately called me back to explain to me on the phone... bought mitsubishi starmex system 4... with compressor of 28BTU, bedrooms 10BTU and living room 24BTU, armflex half inch, Copper wire 22 and 16mm drainage pipe with 2 times installation... before the installation of the pipes, the installer went through with us how the pipes would be run, we have to tell him the spot that we would like to install the fancoil so he could recommend the best route to run the pipes... pics of the insulator and gas pipes... air con pipes being run in the passageway as we will be doing a box up and cove light holders Bedroom 2... a small cover could be seen... most of us would actually install the fancoil above the door itself, however, we are going to do a top hung sliding door in this room, so there would be insufficient space to run the pipe if we were to install the fancoil above the door. thus we have to shift it to the other side of the wall... the piping would be run across the other bedroom... * the holes around the air con pipe cover have been plastered after works are done, this pic was taken during the process...
  4. some pics of our place... to save on some costs, we have laid the corrugated papers ourselves... Living room masterbedroom Bedroom 2 kitchen passageway well, missed out pictures for bedroom 1 during the earlier stages of our renovation...
  5. Finally, after waiting for 3 years plus, i we gotta our BTO keys in feb. Have been reading through the T blogs in this forum and doing our own research during the past 1-2 years, now we could finally put all into action. our floorplan... for the past 6 months, we have been meeting various IDs and contractors (famous or infamous ones) recommended in this forums as well as through friends. we roughly know the designs we are looking for, so we are leaning towards finding more of a contractor instead of an ID. As we have meet up with like at least 8 of them, we have gained quite a far bit of knowledge regarding renovation and workmanship... it's a tiring journey, have to keep on repeating the idea we have in mind, eliminating those that we could not click and those that exceeded our budget... shortlisted 3 contractors, and out of the 3, one could not commit to my completion date... so left with two. and between these two, their quotation are actually somewhat similar... in the end, we have decided to go with the one who is less calculative, not everything little thing have to charge me..keke... =) we are still in the midst of our renovation, shall update more about this contractor once everything is done.
