yeap charcoal sponge in there. yeah not easy to find this model for display, in fact i was looking at catalogues and research on websites only. and totally miscalculated the height cos i thought all is standard.. zzzzz. lesson learnt.. ha

yeap it comes with an extension. but if you see the overall height of the product, itself is shorter by 10cm (with the extension) compared to most. and if i were to use that extension to reach the ceiling, my hood and hob distance is going to reach 86cm-87cm. too far for the hood to work efficiently, as the product manual says 70cm is the max from hob to hood. i'm at 76cm already by the way and just normal stir frying, i have to use medium power at least to have adequate effect. if low power, no use, living room and walkway can smell what's cookin'

oh is it? oops.. i didnt know. i kept thinking it's local brand. ha. but so far so good with all their products. feel solid and capable. hood is powerful and not noisy. it has a compartment to capture accumulated oil which u can take out and wash also. becareful of the total height though.it is shorter than the normal chimney hood.

let me try to get a pic soon. sorry not replying soon enough, was really busy packing things into boxes and moving in. tough job! haha. but from what i observed and during the checks.. there are no chipping off or anything on my glass... glass chipping does sound bad and wrong in my opinion.

hi sir~ i bought this fan at: YES Electrical Supply 22 Jalan Serampang, Tmn Pelangi, 80500. J.B Tel: 07 - 3339 900 and nope, i did not pay for any GST. 1 person able to bring in 150SGD worth of item without being charged gst. If over, u have to drive to red lane (goods declare lane). just nice when i bought this, the conversion rate for ringgit is very good, this fan just nice hit sgd 149 after convert, so i drive to green lane, the police see liao... and byebye.. continue drive go home. But in case u are still afraid or the conversion sucks these days, you just let the uncle know.. and he will know what to do. for installation, i pretty much paid the whole package and lumpsum for entire lighting / fixing to my contractor, the fan installation is included part of the package.
