Hi all, long time nver log on le.. see so many neighbours sharing and helping is so heart warming. I have a qns to ask anyone here. current me contemplating of a mixture of stove top. Can I ask any of our neighbours here having a vitroceramic stove top? { hey neighbours, is it normal to have SP bill cost $260 a month for 4 room? to list normal usage: only 1 aircon on every night, plasma TV watch from 8pm-12 am. normal small fridge on whole day, small fan, tower fan on when sleeping. use washing machine every day. use vacuum cleaner once every 2-3 days. internet surfing for 4 hours a day. oh, i use electric heater. } As for the elect i think is the washing machine usage everyday, That use quite abit.. imagine its usage everyday for an hour? standard front loader wash time. I think its the washing machine. others is small

Hi all, I GOT MY KEYS!!!! !! Yday, after all the signing. Got the see my Home to be. Small but nice little place. Not much of defects tho. Only some dents and main grill unable to open after unlatching Haven sign up with SP tho. Was thinking of waiting till the defects and things done then sign.. Maybe I will sign later on saturday. to check the leaking. Very little Blk A pple. That day when I went up din see any neighbours from the 7th flr. Sad :-( hope to meet up. All the seniors here, I got problem when I saw the door. ESP. toilet. Alamak open fully and kena the show screen in the future abit bo liao. Any one did bi-fold ones or other alternatives? of Redcrystal, April to wait ah.. can lah.. no problem. I wont be moving in and buying my stuff until June. Wait for your review on induction cooking. Heard from my friend there are new utensil coming out that can be use for induction. Oh, went to the sky garden too to do my defects. Nice airy. but din see any BBQ pit. Hi Mapleleaf, Cost issue? what are some of the brands that you went to check out and the cost?? went to the web, ariston is selling around 2K for a 4 pot top. 2 big 2 small. I find the power consumption is not that high eventually 6KW total. Some more we dun cook and use all 4 pot altogether. So was looking into it quite abit. In the web there are lots of good things said about induction. Only haven have someone's real life experience. I think only the pots and pans are abit expensive coz need metal (ferrous) magnetic capable utensil then can use induction. Care to share some of your consideration and cost concerns? Thanks

Hi Redwyrm, Electrical bills will only go up if you use the cooker loh.. the upside I think was the elimination of running gas pipes. safety for children, no flame and more efficient that conventional ones, easier to maintain. dun have those yellowish thing appear under the cooker in the long run of coz the downside is no elect no cooking, cooking wares are special in the market maybe more expensive. I am still contemplating will go around look see, saw a promoter at taka selling induction cooking wares and cookers.. only 1 cooker pot. I think can keep one those steamboat type conventional cookers around just in case bah.. I see can gather more info the market.. esp $$$ of the cooker. How much you bought yours Redcrystal?

Hi Redcrystal, Thanks, by the way what make you considered Induction to other cookers? Mine is more or less to do away with i) Not going to cook alot ii) Remove the hassle of having to many bills iii) safer than conventional cookers ( to a certain extend) iv) Maintenance is much easier my biggest concern actually is from WTB, safety ( as will it have any side effects coz cook by magnetic waves converted to heat. ) Whats yours? Thanks for your sharing.

Hi All! yeah!! going to get key on 5th Mar! Just to wonder who is blk A level 7 flr pple.. lolz,.,. looking for neighbours.. can jaga each other,. Erhmm.. Just a question of many of 79ers, anyone considered Induction Cookers? I was thinking of getting it.. anyone considered another point of view, other than the hassle of use only ferrous mental pots and pans, which are more expensive?

Hi Redwyrm, Got Blk A pple lah.. I am also from blk A. I live only a stone throw away. All our blk A Khaki waiting everyday at the letterbox from sunrise to sunset for letter.. And reading forum here and camping at our blk everyday, seeing the lights from many of our neighbours unit light lit everynite. Also getting info every where.. learning from our seniors here their experience. Bo bian.. our blk abit slow.. but nevertheless good as after CNY easier. No need to rush and plan it out. Somemore can wait for the June Comex.. To look at Electronic Products Steady Our hectic time will come

Hi Rachel!! welcome to the family. I am also from Blk A. Sad to say.. haven. the barricade not down yet. I only say Blk B is being remove. Haiz.. I think it should be around Feb 08 to Mar 08 for us. Also good lah.. we can take our time. As they will iron out alot of issues from the other blocks. Must thanks so many bros and sis here that whack HDB left right and centre. Not to mess up this block. I still see workers rushing around during the weekends at various blocks to mend tiles at lifts, leaks and such. Good work all fellow Blk 79ers!!! Whack more!!!!!
