i got a mini schnauzer but may leave him at my parents' place coz he may get lonely when we're out to work during the day. moreover, he's been living in my parents' flat for 5.5 years. will not have problems when he pee or poo though, as he's toilet trained. don't restrict your doggie in the kitchen...he/she will not like it...

Tell HDB you did not keep new payslips when you re-apply for the HLE. They'll use the existing ones which they're keeping on their records. I'm planning to do that when I re-apply for my HLE. Hope it works.

I remembered I was told by the HDB officer that if the date of completion of my flat is after my HLE expiry date (4 Oct), then I need to re-apply again before keys collection. However, it may just be something like a "re-activation", based on the existing pay slips (in our file) which HDB is holding.

The latest date for the collections of keys would be 30 Sep 2008 (think it's stated on the Lease Agreement). That's the official date which HDB has to complete the construction and hand you the keys. You can even take legal actions against them should they can't give you the keys by then. You'll most likely need to re-apply the HLE again. This is what the HDB official told me when I singned my Lease Agreement. As for the 8k ceiling, I'm not too sure about that.

Hi All, they say when you get the keys to your apartment, you need to choose a good date to "open the door" and certain rituals will need to be done to appease the spirits who may be already "living" there. Any info to share on this?

Your CPFs will not be wiped out upon signing the Agreement of Lease. It'll only be wiped out when you collect your keys.
