  1. Hi Redbottles, Thanks for this information! There are really many dishonest ID & contractors around. It's really great that we have this forum.
  2. Hi h4happy, I can help to calculate your ft for your kitchen cabinets if you have the drawing. !! U have any good contractors in mind, can pm me Hi H4happy, Can u please PM what he says ? Thanks !
  3. Hi All, 1. Dun buy the electrical stuff now because there will be end year sale and electrical stuff prices tend have discount. You may just note down the model that you want and WAIT. WAIT. WAIT. 2. Do not change copper wire cause it is conceald. Eariler I mentioned that level 6 SP has hidden some information this is because he insist that i need to change the copper wire. My short-listed contractor says no need lah. waste money.... 3. 20 ft kitchen cabinet. Actually if you are going to do a L shaped kitchen, it does not need 20FT in all. I drew up the 3D plan and show a contractor and he mentioned that I need only 17ft in all. Level 6 SP, mentioned that I must add another $350 if I wanna to have a L-shaped kitchen. Additonal point - Dun do cabinet on top of your refrigerator - Y ? you can't change into a bigger refrigerator in the future. 4. Dun do toilet kerb - Y ? U know it when u visit the showroom, cause I can't explain well here. 5. Dun do washing machine & refrigerator base - Y ? People dun do it now. Also, you can't change into a bigger refrigerator in the future if you fix the size of your refrigerator base. Last but not least, it is really a small flat so we will be saving quite a bit on the furnitures and cleaning time. hehe ! Anyone got a good contractor on hand.... Please PM me... Thanks in advance Barang Barang got 30% discount........ I must WAIT. WAIT. WAIT. Cheers, Cindy-Moneybone
  4. Hi Yang Guo, U didn't take photo too. They state clearly that we are not suppose to take photos and the SP kept following us so really no chance to take photo. Level 6 SP quotation is very high, saying this and that but choose to hide some information to us.
  5. Thanks for information. I am going there now. Hope to see fellow neighbours there.
  6. So good. I went to Blk25 Aonce, but the showflat is not ready. I have received my deposit of $2000 back so it seems that HDB is rather fast. Please note everyone should get back the $$ within 3 weeks after the 1st appt.
  7. Hi , Cindy = Cindy-Monkeybone I dun think we need to paint the rack as it is ready for use once it is set up. Unless, you want some unique colour which the seller dun offer. 9. Hi All, 1. Which layout of store room rack to you prefer ? 2. Should we go for one std layout for all int. neighbours ? http://img211.imageshack.us/my.php?image=s...roomrackdg4.jpg I prefer layout A because I can put longer stuffs such as ladder at the sides and you may never know what u wanna to dump into the store room after that.
  10. Hi All, Wow. Ready wonderful to see so many pp interested in the rack. Let's work together to find a value-for-money rack and then I shall co-ordinate with the rack seller. Just went to see the flat. I saw some workers staying in Blk25B unit#110. Should be around level 3 or 4. Just wondering if you will feel upset if u are the owner.
  11. Hi Simpleboi, : p 1hr21mins to 6pm ........ Int. in Storeroom rack Moonbell h4happy kriegs Cindy Simpleboi
  12. Looks okay. Does $150 include installation ? Int. in Storeroom rack Moonbell h4happy kriegs Cindy PS : It's Friday and I have no mood to work now.
  13. Nope ! Still early. Moreover, I am still designing my kitchen cabinet. I will be looking for storeroom rack now and hope to get more JM neighbour to join in so that we might get discount for bulk purchase. Let me know if you know any good one.
  14. Yes your are right. And I am those who wash cloths every weekend until full load. But the 3 metal stick (outside the window) not enough. So, need some bomboo stick and just hang it up. I need at least 5 bamboo post. For the retractable stick (inside the window), I intend to take it out and maybe see whether any wall to drill into it. But then keep looking at the floor plan, seem that no wall for me to drill!!!! I also thought of buying a dryer, but then, space is the problem!!! U're right ! I have been looking and drawing & drawing my kitchen cabinet to suit the holder. It's is a big headache. The contractor say needs to take it out and install another type of retractable holder from the celiling. BUT I have a low renovation budget so i cannot afford this. U know there is a 2 in 1 washing machine cum dryer which cost $1000 + + + ,maybe it will solve your problem.
  15. My frd<she and her hubby only > is having the same type of holders<one in the kitchen and outside the window> and she mentioned that it is not enough to hang the clothes for 2 persons. If I wanna to re-locate the holder which is in the kitchen, where do u think I should put it.
  16. Well. It cost $500 + + less than Best Denki and the lady at the Expo gave us a very very detailed explanation of the aircon. I am actually impressed by her knowledge and sincerly.
  17. Yup ! It's is 99% that we can get the keys by Q4 2007. Many of my frds who already got their new flats and ID mentioned that we are very very very likely to get the keys in Nov. ID design work - Takes 2 to 3 weeks. Renovation - Takes 4 to 6 weeks Move in - Time taken unknown cause U need to look for auspicious date to move in. SO ! Plan earlier cause a rush work will not be a good work. 3 Cheers, Cindy
  18. Hi Neighbours, Just came back from Expo's 'Creative Living', my hubby and I already confirmed the laminated flooring from Supreme and system 3 air con from Mitsubishi <Good Bargain ..... It is cheaper than Gain City, Best Denki....... but no credit card payment allowed > . ....... Next step, Kitchen Cabinets + Electrical + Lighting........ So happy. ^ _ ^ 3 Cheers, Cindy
  19. Hi, Thanks ! 6 years of living with PIL & SIL can only works when your hubby knows and understands what you are going through. If he does not give me Tender, Loving and Care during these years, I guess i must have gotten MAD with the in law. My friend says the officer<higher rank one ah.. U know those manager> will tell you the month when u can collect the key. Hence, I shall try it on Monday. Once I get the information, I shall update everyone. PS : Anyone know who wants to sell his/her 3 rooms flat in our area. I need to find one for the PIL asap. 20. Hi Neighbours, I will be moving into Blk 26C<Above 20 level >. Looking forward to see u gals & guys. Back to that topic, i would like to offer my own experience so that u will not fall into the same situation. I am now staying with my PIL and his 3 younger sisters. It has been a total of 6 yrs. Every day was like ****. The parents are good to me but the sisters are totally different. They treat me like I am INVISIBLE and are very untidy. The story goes ......My hubby and I have been trying to take out his name from the existing for years so that we can buy own flat and get on with the wedding ceremony and finally do wat we wanna. Imagine 7 pp staying in a 4 rooms flat. But the problem is that they kept delaying the issue for years. The reason is so simple the 1 sister wanna to buy their own flats when she reach 35 and the other sister will then pay for the flat. Let me tell u something even horrible, it will be another 6 years when they reach 35 and i will be a old bride and I still can't buy own flat unless i use my own $$ to pay the $40,000 levy. Where do I get $40,000. It is not my fault as my hubby already start paying the flat before I marry him. So the conclusion - NEVER LET YOUR SISTER-IN-LAW STAY IN YOUR HOME AS U WILL NEVER HAVE A PEACEFUL DAY. 3 Cheers to those who contribute photo of the flats, Cindy
