Hi eastlovin Yes!! The delivery guys asked me to pay extra $35 for them to make a separate trip to assemble the furniture when my renovations are all done. Which I think is totally ridiculous when the person arranging this delivery & assemble service didn't inform us that they are unable to assemble furniture if flat is undergoing renovation.

Lamp for our main door entrance (From Ikea) Service Yard I feel that the light bulb that intially comes with the lamp is not bright enough.. gotta ask the electrician to help us to change to a bigger watt one. Master Bedroom Toilet Didn't managed to get a bigger angle for this pic... We ask J&E to install the mirror and vanity top with kompacplus.

Progress (17 June - 22 June) Last weekend, we went up to our place and happy to see lots of progress. Carpentry Works are all done and all lights are up too! Now we are awaiting the installation of kompacplus top, plumbing works and final coat of painting Kitchen Living Room The finishing product of my shoe rack! Super love it!! Tracks light from TB... We have a bit of cheap trill playing with the remote control. Didn't know that the track lights come with remote.. Dining area and the pendant light! All our lights are super matchy to our house theme!!

IKEA I believe IKEA is a place where almost all new homeowners will visit and purchase some of the furniture and other misc stuffs. So we are like most homeowners, we purchased a toddler's wardrobe, queen size bed frame and bedside table. Obviously these items required delivery and assemble so we gladly paid for it and make arrangement for the delivery date. So on that day, we make our self available and waited from 10am - 1pm. (Delivery time is supposed to be 10am - 2pm). Since J&E's workers are doing up the carpentry works, I can't sit at my place for 5 hours. So I informed IKEA customer service staff to get the delivery team to call me at least an hour before they deliver the stuffs. However we waited till almost 1.15pm and no calls, so we decided to leave and instruct J&E's workers to help us inform the IKEA delivery team where to place the stuffs. So off we left. Got a call at 1.45pm from the delivery guys and when I inf them that I've left the place but the contractor's will inform them where to place the furnitures. They REFUSE to assemble my items... stating that they required a HUGE place to assemble. (Like 3 empty bedrooms are not huge enough for them to assemble) And because my contractors are doing works there. WTH! Plus they were rude.. They told me off that I'm supposed to wait for them and not the delivery team waiting for me. (HELLO!! I waited since 10am lor!) Anyway they delivered my stuffs without assembly and left. Till date after a few calls and emails, no news of IKEA delivery team on refunding my assemble charges!! So to all new homeowners. please ensure that you're done with your renovations, acid wash and stuffs before arranging delivery and assembly from the IKEA team! *Sorry for my wordy post!! Got kinda pissed off with the ikea delivery team!!

HI there, I'm planning to get Microsystem to do the post renovation cleaning too! Do you need to be there in person to supervise while they clean or we can just leave them to do their works and come back when it's almost done? How's the cleaning service? Good?

Ya.. I've been searching high and low from TB but couldn't find it. So I gave up and just purchased it from Hipvan. Got the floormat.. feels pretty solid and sturdy enough to withstand the sand and dirt from our shoes.

Hi there, Yes, all the carpentry comes with ABS trimming and white internal for all carpentry. They do charge but i can't remember how much is it for 1m. E did mention to me that he is able to throw it FOC for me since I didn't have lots of carpentry works but I thought that it's not necessary so didn't request them to do it for me. Yes, they will only meet up when you've received your keys as they normally do a onsite measurement before sending their quote to you. I felt that this is really a plus point as some contractors might quote base on floor plan when the actual site measurements might be bigger hence the price difference. Would love to read up your T-blog soon when you've commence your renovation. Happy Renovation! =)

More stuffs that we have purchased for our home. Recently I'm very tempted to do some IKEA hack.. and this step stool caught my eye!! Glad to hear from Mr J&E that carpentry works are done, window grills and 2nd coat of painting will commence this week! Looks like our handover date is pretty near! Will update more when drop by my place again!

Progress Week (10 Jun - 16 Jun) This week progress seems quite fast. Carpentry works are up already and lighting has been installed in all 3 bedrooms, passageway and bomb shelter. Didn't have much pictures to show as J&E workers are doing their works so didn't want to block their way so I just quickly take a few snaps. Most likely we are going to drop by again at night to check out the lighting and other stuffs. Kitchen - Cabinet Previously our breakfast counter partition is up and my hub wants it to be cement screed to match the over all feel. But because of the material, J&E is unable to cement screed so we decided to go with the easy way. Nippon Momento Special Effect Paint Shoe Rack Doors are not up yet when I was taking this picture... Happy to see many shelving to house my shoes!! ^_^v Master Bedroom

This week is a delivery week... most of our furniture and taobao stuffs has arrived. As mention earlier on that our renovations are a little behind schedule so we are kinda of worry that with all the furniture around, J&E's workers will have a tough time when they are about to do the acid wash. Hope all will turn out fine. Things that we bought & delivered! 1. Lighting bought from Taobao. 2. Scanteak TV Console 3. Standing Fan After reading some of the fellow T-bloggers here, I'm very tempted to venture my online purchase to Amazon!! 1 June - 9 June (Progress) Seems that our renovation is a bit behind schedule.. till date, window grills are not up yet and we are not sure when too? Didn't have the chance to check with Mr J & E as I know that they are pretty busy with other projects. Since I'm not in a hurry so I didn't chase after them.. *quite slack* Changed the HDB Main Door closer cause it's very irritating that the door is unable to open and stay at 90 degrees and I will have to use chairs and door stopper to hold the door. So Uniarm come to my rescue! Finally we decided on the water heater and got it install recently. Couldn't really decide whether to install storage / instant water heater. So we decide that we do not want all these: 1. No more than 10 mins of waiting time for water to heat up 2. Dun wan ugly electrical lines in the toilet. 3. Do no want to install 1 water heater for common toilet & MBR toilet. So we thought why not Benington Multi point Water Heater. It seems like multipoint water heater is like a hybrid of storage and instant water heater. Now we have hot water in both toilets and sink too. In case you wonder, I did not get Mr J & E to route another hot water piping for kitchen as I don't think I will require it. After a longest time.. Mr J's worker help me to patch up and box up the ventilation vent that is facing the kitchen.

Hi shiwei71 A little coordination works are required. Cause they are contractors, not much of an ID. But E will give a project timeline at the start of renovation. So I follow the schedule and ensure that stuffs (eg, toilet accessories, kitchen hob & hood, water heater etc )arrived before the installation date. I heard from their site supervisor that currently they have quite a number of projects on their hands. Works can be a little slow but it's fine with us as we are not in a hurry to move in.

Aircon are up too.. Didn't want to install the aircon unit till at least the carpentry works are 80% done. However there is some boo boo, ended up the aircon guy install my units when my renovation is only 30% done. Haiz.. Aircon pipping are all boxed by! Got my contractor to change the bomb shelter ventilation vent. Cause it's pretty eye sore to see the silver thingy protruding out! Walls has been painted with 1st coat of paint.. As you can see no doors yet for both the bedrooms and toilets. Bedroom doors will be installed by mid of June... Tempered Glass Shower Panel is up.. Waitin for my contractor to install the rainshower set that I've purchased from TB. Conduits for tracks lights! No lights for our place as we are eagerly waiting for our light shipment from TB to arrive in SG.

Hello.. its been a while since I've updated the renovation progress as we didn't have much time to go up to our place to check out.. The walls has been hacked and one part of the kitchen wall is begin cement screed. Protective layers are placed on the floor Base for the Kitchen Sink Base for Kitchen's cabinet Breakfast counter up

Since our renovations are underway, it's time for the shopaholic me to shop!! We are planing to purchase most of the items from TB. The toilets accessories shipments are on its way to SG.. so I'm hoping that the quality will be good!! In the meantime, our renovation permit has been approved and within 2 days, walls are being hacked. Yohoo!

Just received my 3D drawings from Mr E... Not finalize yet as we have afew changes here and there. Kitchen Shoe Rack There are quite a few changes to be done on the shoe racks, eg, the ventilation vent to change its color to black etc.. Plus I requested for a suspended shoe rack.. =( Master bedroom Something simple for the bedroom. Going to inform Mr E on the amendments on the 3D drawings and see how's the final draft going to be like. So far from my contacts with Mr E & J are quite good.. Just some minor details which they can forget. However I don't blame them as I know they have quite few projects ongoing so I don't expect them to remember everything. Will share more when its time for carpentry works

I didn't do much homework on kitchen stuffs cause I don't really cook so basic stuffs will do. These recent week, I didn't have much to update as progress is abit slow at the moment. Basically these are the works done: Aircon Piping, This is from the MBR. Didn't have much chance to take more pics cause the tilers are waiting for me to be done in order to lay tiles... I was so worried that the aircon piping will be horrendous.. but to my surprize.. it's actually quite neat! I just need to box up the piping that's under the MBR beam. Going to install the units next week!! Laying of floor tiles Living Room tiles (Cement screeding look a like) All bedroom tiles (wood look a like) Mr E whatapp me that today flooring is all done.. but he didn't send me any photos to show me though. Next up, will be craftstone. Supposed to start hacking the kitchen wall today however HDB has yet to approved our permit! Haiz. gotta chase them again! =(
