I have a question pertaining to quite a peculiar situation regarding a HDB BTO unit. The BTO was bought by Mother (SG) and Son (PR) under the SG/PR scheme. The father is included as a tenant (foreigner/Malaysian). In case of a divorce between the mother and father, what would happen to the BTO if the 5 year MOP is not up yet? Would the Mother and Son get to keep living there? Could the father stake a claim or ask for compensation in the divorce even though he doesn't officially own the flat nor paid for it? Any tips or information are greatly appreciated.
