  1. Oh.....this is going more confusing got prepacked screed or prepacked material......... any other prepacked xxxxxx Do we layman, general public got to take up some course to understand what HDB guideline is Today, i call up to try again in hdb, my question is , if i want to replace my wall tiles, do i need to follow the new guideline using the prepacked THING ? (I use thing, because i dont know what prepacked xxxx they have) Guess what i got........ the new guideline is for floor only, wall is not. haha I really dont know they kong simi My conclusions is, just be a true singaporean, accept all confusions and pay for all the extra cost. This is very truth about our authority..... they will first convince us then will confuse us If you still dont get it (like what happen to me now), they will condemn.... this is how they CONTROL
  2. And worst is, when i call up hdb hotline to enquire ( before i recieve this reply) the answering officer can tell me wall finishes is not require to use prepacked screed. Now, should i trust the information to the general public or a "personal message" to me. Guess i got to write to Mr khaw......hehehe
  3. HOUSING & DEVELOPMENT BOARD Your Ref : Our Ref : Date : 3 Jun 2015 TEL : 1800-2255-432 FAX : 68543238 EMAIL : Mr Apt Blk Woodlands # Singapore email: Dear Mr , APT BLK WOODLANDS Please refer to your email of 2 June 2015 enquiring on the use of pre-packed screed (mixture of cement and sand). Prior to 1 June 2015, HDB Registered Renovation Contractors (RRCs) were required to use pre-packed waterproofing screed when carrying out the replacement of floor finishes in only wet areas such as bathrooms, toilets, balconies and kitchen in HDB flats. With effect from 1 June 2015, all HDB RRCs are required to use pre-packed material when carrying out renovation in HDB flats. This includes the laying/replacement of floor/wall finishes in all area of the flat, irrespective of dry or wet areas. The benefits of using pre-packed screed include better housekeeping, cleaner environment and higher quality of finished works. Please contact our Estate Executive, Mr at Tel: 68663986 If you need further clarification. Yours sincerely PRINCIPAL ESTATE MANAGER (WOODLANDS BRANCH) HOUSING MANAGEMENT GROUP I got the reply (this is a copy and paste statement from email, and i deleted all possible names and address) It means to me that wall finishes replacement required to use prepacked screed. I'm very disappointed with HDB, not on the extra i got to pay, but on the representation. In their own website, under renovation guideline, under wall finishes, it is not stated about using prepacked screed. Yet under floor finishes, it is stated. This causes confusion to the general public and trust on their representation.
  4. You can get consent from the seller to let you renovate before completion, aka collect key all you have to do is sign a idemity form. Guess your agent able to advise you
  5. Hello everyone I have this question to raise up Does the topic mention guideline apply to laying of wall tiles Currently, i am having this issue with my id. He wanted to charge me extra for the prepacked screed on my wall tiles.(i am renovation a resales 4 rooms) I have read thru the hdb renovation guideline, they only did mention about the prepacked screed on floor finishes but not on wall finishes. I even brought it out to reason with my id but seem like he also not sure about it. All he can tell me is like this is the instruction pass down by the boss. I have wrote an email questioning hdb about it, but yet to get any reply. To me, if it is truly set by hdb, i have no choice but to pay the extra. But if it is the id (or his boss) trying to use this new guideline to misrepresent and make extra money, i cant take it. Any members, contractor or id here can help
