The french blue shoe cabinet. not exactly what i wanted but have to be practical, so bo bian pic quite small and blur as its taken with a mobile. there are white trimmings and stuff on it, not just plain blue

hi kitty jems my whole house is in this style except for the 2 common rooms which is a mixture as such style is very expensive, my husband do not want to spend that much on renovation, so quite restricted la i also got quote from forest then, but it was like double or triple of other quotes, so i didn't go for them. i do love some of their designs too! maybe next time if have chance, can get them to do some other projects. cottage gave me very reasonable pricing and they understand what i want in this style, so i went ahead. let me see if i can post some photos i have a canopy in the kitchen too! u can take a look for an idea

hi kittyjems.. just saw your post on cottage crafts. i did my reno 3yrs ago by them, quality and workmanship is good. best is the service! i also love french blue! but only managed to do small shoe cabinet with that colour. cant wait to see your kitchen by forest! so exciting to see so many people with similar interests here ))

Hi I think some of the more french/European designs would be more popular here but of couse, the pricing have to be reasonable..if not, you will have fierce competition with the higher end shops in town.

wainscoting is woodpanelling but done in vertical lines normally at the bottom half of the wall. tat kind also v cozy hehe. nvm u come my hse see fireplace if u miss one lor hehe. my fren is doing a fireplace now and is having a headache over the design and dimensions hehe. u save urself the trouble! i'm still looking for the firelogs for mine hahaha so when r u moving in?

haha i tell u.. i stay gg to be 1 yr liao my hse also still quite bare... it takes time de. once u're ready to hv visitors do tell us! i'm addicted to country homes ya i tink if u do the entire living area, it will cost a bomb. yeap the effect is veri nice... got the cozy wainscoting effect .. worth the 5-6k. so how's ur fireplace idea? still doing ma?
