  1. BOSE has very affordable consumers pricing compared to 10 years ago when I bought my first set and it lasted forever. It went with the apartment when I sold it to the new owner. I went for a sound test a few weeks ago and still considering if I should spend the $$$ but very tempting because I love my music. I have thousands of CDs which I don't even know where to store them now.. :help:

Love Libratone design, but didn't try the sound before only see it at Apple online store last time,

I wanted to get a speaker for my room, been trying lots of speaker (B&W, Bose, B&O, SONOS, Naim Muso) but my heart tell me I should go for Linn Kiko, but the price is no way I can afford. hahaha

  2. Hoot hoot! So exciting to reach this stage because every like design and colours are coming to life instead of just seeing it in our head.

This 3rd bed gets a vote from me and I think it will overall go with your interior design.

Did you paint any other colours besides the grey at the small corner ?

Show more photos of your beautiful kitchen because it looks really cool and I love black .

  3. Nextstep, I bought my rain shower set , kitchen faucet and other stuff though him too. Like I explained to fatcat, it's not about the $380 but the fact that when I upgraded showerhead $20 also he asked me to pay. I exchanged something to the bidet spray top up $30 also he asked me to pay which I did for all even though I did asked him to give discount. I was easy going with him and don't feel shiok because feel like being a nice person doesn't pay off and he deserves nasty customer who bargain his pants off.

I remember someone once told me " if you don't make money from nice customers , you will never get a chance to make money from the nasty ones" so the nice ones will be gana kotok.

But I don't want to be the nasty one but also don't want to be carrot head.lol

  4. Same model for our toilets ! This one really pass the button test. That said I bought it for higher price at $380 and I bought quite a lot of other things from this guy Ricky at Balestier branch. Feeling suckered and not shiok feeling . Hmmmpf ! Better find the other sales people other than this guy

I also buy from WasserBaths and got the CT1180-A at $350 each (with thin lid)

not too sure are we all getting the same one or not.

  5. wawawa wa.... I have 100 questions to ask you after you posted the photos!!! LOL

    - Your Grey window frames with dark glass??? I am still undecided on this and dateline tomorrow to confirm. Current ones are tinted glass but I am the sort whi needs lots of sun to bloom

    - Your tiles very nice ..especially when I nearly chose them too.. haha

    - What is that 2 metal bar below your ledge? Is taht for support?

    - Toilet bowls.. everyone talking about the Baron but actually I dont know where to see that. But I bought my WC from Wasser because their SALE signage outside their entrance was very eye-cacthing.

How come yours only $220 with GST and delivery. I chose something there and it cost me $380. But dont ask me which one because I just said on it and then like it.

  6. Lazyfatcat, i understand the Fujioh has 1 inner flame and 2 regular burner is that right? If that is the case it will be best of both worlds. I saw many people buying Rinnai for the inner flame and i was thinking to go with everyone else too But then again, I dont feel there is a need to cook food faster since i am quite happy with the speed of regular cooking.. hahah so in the end , looks prevails. So terrible right.. buying important stuff based on style just like a woman buying stilettos

Fujioh hood - got vote of confidence from Lux. Looprevil: my fujioh hob has inner flame too. Why didn't you consider that?

  7. Berried! I just added all my items and them contact customer service but I make sure that it is quite a bit of shopping of at least USD125 and more. I understand that it is not always approved so whenever I buy from amazon I will mentally prepare myself that in case I don't get the request then this will be my cost. However when I do it is always a bonus and it makes me happy.

I have been lucky to get in 1 shipment which have a few things on it. If you want to have assurance then I suggest you purchase through the qoo10 seller which is at $485. Yea she makes a profit but it is also a sure thing for you versus $800+ including shipping should it not be allowed .

I love my kraus sink very much ;)

  8. Actually the Grohe German made and the grohe China made is what makes the difference from 10 years ago.

If you go the shop and asked really for the German made grohe you will feel the difference

Just want to point out some misconceptions

    1. "You get what you pay for" - does not mean that when something is expensive, it is good quality.

    2. Grohe 10 years ago is not the same as Grohe today

    3. I'm sure chairs bought from Singapore also break:)

  9. Don't be too sad about the higher price as sometimes there are good reasons for that. The style might looks similar but it's the material's inside which makes all the difference.the wood , the foam density , down feathers possibly etc and all those adds up. One thing I have learnt is always check in the materials to have a fair apple to apple comparison :)

All the best with your renovation and looking forward to see the photos

  10. Find a black wooden frame !

But it's true if you keep thinking about it then just buy it.. my bedroom is also mix matched ..lol and in all honesty after you have move in for a while, it will not be noticed anymore

I have a theme or should i say I Had a theme, but have already drifted far far away so now I buy thing based on looks/ colours / practicality

  11. The shopping list :

    1) Fujioh slim900 Hood and TekaHob - Done.

The Teka hob was love at first sight when i saw nextstep posted it on his blog and he kindly shared the information. After some research between 2 different models of 3 burners , I ended up with this because of the ceramic glass instead of tempered glass. If you take a good look, you will realise the glass is also thinner

    2) The hood was chosen just becauase it is slim and no need for too much maintanence.. Alss my parents place using Fujioh for long time and have no problem.

I was deciding to take the smaller one at 600mm since my cooking hob is small but the sales person keep insisting that it will be easier for the contractor to design the kitchen cabinets as the 2 doors size will be 450mm each.

  12. Hello Reiki! Thanks for encouraging words! I want to thank you for your very thorough write up on the management of wires. I studied it in detail even before i started my reno as it is much more difficult to manage that for the very old resale flats.

It took me a while to realise those new BTO have the wires build in like a condominium so it looks much better

Plus my old flat has lots of columns all over. ..

  13. TAOBAO SHOPPING (booboo)

So the first time, I decided to tonbang with someone to try out a pair of dining hanging lights.

    1) First boo boo - buy the wrong size... way too big. But managed to convice myself can do la rather than waste it.

    2) now realise that something is missing when we tried to fix the light, the white part holder for the bulb is not in there. I wonder if any piece from hardware shop will suffice.
