  1. hi all, my average usage r $130 - $150 for 4 person. i did not on aircon, but i got my sinful dryer... recently am thinking using god's gift "natural sunlight & wind" to dry it, but notice that my upstair neighbour, sometime will hang dripping-just-wash clothing. i'm using electric water heater. have 2 pc at home. recently just added a blender, wondering next month will shot to $150 ~ $180 or not. Sigh...
  2. can i contribute something? I've a distant relative, her son strike rich, so bought a bungalow (sorry, not sure abt the location but definitely in singapore), many incident happen, till 1 day, her elder grandson, a teenager, a piece of glass just drop from nowhere straight into his leg (inside the house some more), even after that when they search the whole house, couldn't figure it out where did it come from. *while writing this, my hair all stand...* so the elder grandson have to stay at home the next day, while resting, he heard a voice telling him: quick, your brother's drowning. so he rush downstairs, as they have a small pond outside their house, he saw his brother lying face down on the pond... so they quickly call the ambulance, by then, it's a bit too late, he's comatised. till now. (this is abt few yrs ago liao) that nite, the elder son heard another voice telling him: u all have 3 brother & sister... i've already kill one, i'm going to kill one by one. the whole family shifted out on that nite itself. so my relative ask some shifu come to the house to take a look to do some ritual, that's when they realise that the previous owner own a few 'xiao gui', but when he move house, he just leave them there. i think after the incident, my relative & his wife kena some court case too, because they hit the maid when their younger son was found lying in the pond. they employ 2 maids, one's to take care of house work, the other's to look after the younger one, i think at that time, they r really upset abt it.
  3. my tiler did mention something like that to me too, saying that actually it's better to have bigger gap, if gap too thin, the cement might not last too long, but he also said that now new owner all prefer to have thinner gap, cos it look nicer. so i think it's still up to individual.
  4. Just an interesting thought, normally guy with sport equipment seldom gone bad, maybe he had a crush on your wife? heh heh.... just a thought only.... but yes, i agree with the careful part.
  5. Last week they just came & rectify my problem, seems like the reason are when they do the acid wash before handling over the house, the cleaner might use too much chemical, and therefore cause the erosion of the cement. Especially if u scrub it with hard brush, the cement will disappear more because it's already powdery form. At least my contractor are helpful, he ask the tiler to come back to my place & retouch-up the whole place without any question ask (and I've already paid in full 1 month ago), so now it's swee swee again. So maybe u shld ask them to touch up your place again? If not, especially the toilets, dirts & dust particle like to stay inside sank in grout, who have to time & patience to use tooth brush to clean them every week.
  6. Many years back at my old house, I can always hear the furniture dragging sound. But not as bad as yours, till when we give birth to my child, everytime they drag, my baby will react during his nap, so we have no choice but to went upstair & talk to them. Lucky they r understanding enough to rectify the problem the next day. Maybe you can try talking to them & let them know what kind of problem u r facing? but there's always the fear that after the talk, they might get angry and purposely make it worst to u. but try talking to them nicely?
  7. Currently I'm using a F&P now for fridge, Electrolux for washer & dryer, but it's only been a month, so far so good. My last fridge was a GE, very good, because I've downgrade to a smaller flat, so I've pass it to my sis, till now total abt 10 or 11yrs still in good working condition. So decided to give F& P a try, sometime I think electrical stuff depends a bit on luck too, from the same factory, some might be in tip top condition, some due to faulty parts.... What ever u decided, good luck.
  8. No, mine's not HDB, is done by contractor. I know i can DIY but it's like after paying for my reno, I still have to do it myself, and it's recent one, it's not few years later liao. sigh.... Thanks for the advice.
  9. Living room (colour a bit yellowish, but actual tiles are white homogenous tiles) Hi, would like everyone's comment, does your tiles workmanship appear to be like this? I do not want to make unnecessary fuss over this thing. Really appreciate it. Thanks in advanced. Kitchen Tiles (the filling in between tiles not full, got holes, when you walk on the kitchen, can feel the edges of the tiles)
  10. Yes, me here, but new year me really can't make it. Next time? An advance Gong Xi Fa Cai to all.
