  1. Lg Tromm oso has a quick 30min cycle but didn't try it out. Tink tis cycle is more suitable for washing new clothes whereby jus need a quick rinse. Most of the wm in the market come with quick wash feature too.
  2. Hi GraCie, i'm not sure abt other brands of washer cum dryer, but my clothes did came out pretty dry & 'hot' from my wm. i felt they were dry enough so did not hang to dry under the sun (my laundry area got no sunlight anyway..hahaa). i won't say its 100% dry but close to tat already la, better than expected cos all salesppl tend to say washer cum dryer drying result not tat good compare to dryer alone.
  3. hmm.....problem is i've no idea how to gauge between a 8kg or 4kg load leh..hahahaa i simply aga-aga wan, so tat day when i was using the dryer i actually had 2 sets of SAF uniform and few other pieces of tshirts & shorts....dunno will all these amt to >4kg anot? i oso saw tat my wm tub still got plenty of room leh. anyway, tink i'm not going to use the dryer tat often unless really neccessary. thank u guys for all the feedback
  4. Hi GraCie, I m currently using Lg Tromm WD14331AD washer/dryer. On average, it'll take plus or minus 1.5hrs for a wash-rinse-spin cycle depending on the load size & water temperature. If u r to include the drying cycle, then tat'll take abt 4-5hrs again depending on load size ba. And with tat amount of time taken, the load comes out almost 100% dry & the wm super hot. And of course, i m talking abt fully automatic operation.
  5. Hi GraCie, I understand tat topload wm uses relatively more water than frontload wm. Topload wm tub needs to be filled to a certain water level b4 it'll actually start working, whereas in frontload wm u can only see minimal water present which makes me wonder if the laundry is thoroughly clean anot. But not to worry, my machine (a frontloader) proves me silly. It washes pretty well. On top of tat, frontload wm seems more delicate on fabric compare to topload (tink is the washing mechanism ba). Frontload, however, is more energy consuming than topload as the washing cycle time is longer. And last but not least, with topload u can anytime add in more pieces of clothing in the midst of the cycle but u can't do tat with frontload. Hopes all tis helps in your selection.
  6. Hi cath, Really appreciate yor feedback . So i m not wrong afterall, it really means the machine is cooling down. But 4hrs of cooling down time really sucks. To answer yor question, so far i m still quite satisfied with the washer part. Washing time seems pretty ok (around 1-1.5hrs) if u select a moderate temperature like say 30-40 deg celsius and the load turns up pretty clean too if not tat heavily soiled. Havn't tried the pre-wash function yet. First time using frontload washer. Still experimenting and hopes tis machine don't disappoint me..hahaa Oh btw, does washing & drying really take up tat much time (4-5hrs), not including the cool down time wo?
  7. I have a question for forummers using LG Tromm washer/dryer (Model: WD14331AD). As all this while i have only been using the washer function, therefore, i've no idea how much time it'll actually take to do washing cum drying. I tried doing tat yesterday and only realized tat (to my awe ) it takes around 4-5 hrs to complete the cycle. After tat, i couldn't even open the door to remove my load cos the indicator prompted a message tat said 'Cd', which is not mention in the user manual. I figured it means the machine is cooling down or watsoever and left it undisturbed for another 1 hr. Still the message remained and only after manually powering off the machine, then i was able to open the door & remove my clothings. Has anyone encountered anything like tis before? Care to give some advice. TIA
  8. Hi, I am currently catching a TVB drama serial called '和味浓情'. In this serial featured an unit whereby the reno is a combination of modern & japanese theme. Maybe you can check it out for reference. Hope you'll find it relevant.
  9. Not just weight, but also b'cos i have small children running around and cannot have a failing painting. 3M is a good choice for really hanging light stuff, my 2 cents. Agree. For my framed glass painting, I drill and hang with additional 3M adhesives velcro !! The velcro also prevented painting been blown side way and damage my wall.
  10. divine_genie, Most of my carpentry are up & my place is finally taking shape and not jus 4 pieces of walls. However, i m still keeping my fingers cross cos i m sure there're gonna be lots of rectification work to be done. Tink i'll have to close one eye to defects not so obvious. Have u settle the final payment with your ID already? If yes, tat explains the attitude u are getting from him now. Guess 9 out of 10 IDs are like tat. No more money issue no more good service. Keep calling him until he can't tahun. Cheers
  11. That 'fixed price' thing is BS in this case lah. U ask BD for match price mostly cannot (so far tried few time and only 1 able to give 'better' price on LCD TV and 1 on HTS). Those mega store like HN/BD etc know that we will not get from them if they maintain their price so they (some) will lower their price or try to 'match' price (earn lesser better than nothing). As for the lucky draw or gift etc, you will not have them when given the 'better' price. Also, they will only be able to give 'better' price if you get more items from them. For my case, I have 2 LCD TV, 1 HTS, 1 fridge and 1 WM, total about $6600 . Review for LG WM? Unknown, just try my luck .
  12. I got the exact same model of LG washer/dryer at $899 at HN Millenia Walk about 2 mths ago. HN was having a warehouse sales at expo at that time and tis model was having promotion. I did not make my purchase at expo but went to HN Millenia Walk to ask for match price and the salesperson agreed. Of course, eventually I got my other electrical appliances from him as well at good deal.
  13. Hi divine_genie, Glad to hear tat your reno nightmare is finally over. As for my reno, nothing much has been done since my last post. Carpentry still not up and worst still, i discover tat the workers have damaged some of my existing furnishings. Only one sentence can best describe my feelings right now "I AM XXXX PISSED WITH MY ID". Really dunno how long tis is gonna drag....sian ah
  14. Sorry for hacking into tis thread cos my ID is actually not from EI. But I am facing the exact same problems (slow progress la etc..etc) as divine_genie, therefore I really need to let it out after reading what he/she has said. My deadline for my ID is initially suppose to be tomorrow, and he was so confident that its more than enough time for my reno cos mine are mainly on carpentry works. But till today which is 4 weeks plus into reno, my place is only half done with all carpentrys yet to be seen n fixed, not to mention rectification works etc which are bound to have. My ID now couldn't even give me a definite handover date. All my furnitures are due to be delivered n i can only keep pushing the dates. I really hate to have to call n rush him everyday. Like divine_genie, I have treated him very nicely and this is what I get for being too nice.
  15. Totally agree with Cedric. I've been using Panasonic dect phone since few years back and simply loves it till now. Have recently just gotten another unit. I've also tried other brand like Motorola, but simply cannot make it. The listening volume is always so soft regardless how u adjust it and the speaker phone function is not as crisp n clear compared to Panasonic. Thumbs up PANASONIC
