I was told there are no neutral wire behind light switch. Can that be true?

Just like to get everyones opinion. I had bought a tecno hybrid induction hob which can be inbuilt on my kitchen counter top. But everytime we cook using it. It is producing quite a bit of heat from the bottom into the cabinet below. This is causing my cabinet below to be unusuable as it gets very stuffy. Is it the same for all electric hob? Or is tecno hybrid hob the only one with this problem?
