Hi, it will be better to hack all and re-do, the price got not much difference but you can get a brand new bathroom & kitchen, without any worries about "What if the old tiles got problem?" or "Will the old waterproofing gone?" Yours is HDB? Normally your contractor should help the form F.O.C if they are HDB registered windows contractor.

Hi Gumbokins, yes, you can start the renovation before 2nd appointment. Both of you and your previous owner need sign the HDB renovation form, and also you need sign an undertaken form to take the responsibility of any of the damages during the renovation.
