  1. hi,

can someone give me some advice about good FSM?i stay in 3 room hdb flat, heard that FS can help for change my bad luck.but i read some ppl said, it can be costly.is it truth? When FSM come to see house.does he included read bazi for everyone in home?

normally cost 500-600 for fsm to audit your house, reading personal baizi is additional rate.

however, just prepare to make changes whether simple or major changes as most will ask you to do some changes in your existing renovation

  2. Oh yes, I do have this question in my mind also but never bother to ask. Mine is italian design semi-ball shape with oblong crystals within. Heard that in master bedroom will activate this and that. Some say good for relationship, some say create third party. What have you heard?

i didn't heard a lot, just heard from someone is not advisable, hopefully someone can advise.

  3. i recently bought some philips FBG305 downlights from a shop..RRP is $45 (even lightings.com.sg) but i got it for $43..

not much..but when you buy quite a few of it..it turns out to be a tidy sum of money..

PM me if you want to know the shop location..not sure if i can share it here..

Why must buy philips brand?they are over price, you can get similar wattage at less than this price

  4. I have placed another order of this OptiLED ping pong bulb from Julian at CITILIGHTS becox I require another one for fengshui purposes in my kitchen. To be kept turned on 24 by 7 too!

    VERDICT: Excellent! :good:

After we hit off on the right tone with Julian from CITILIGHTS when we were still suffering from a lack of answers to our question on "what type of LED lights is suitable", we would swear by CITILIGHTS if we require any other lighting products in the near future.

We were expecting a cool response as we had encountered in the other shops when we mentioned that all we wanted was an E27 LED bulb.

However, we were pleasantly surprised that Julian had given us excellent service even though we only bought 1 LED bulb at $38. And just to reiterate that he didn't make us spend extra $ when he told us that we didn't need the $68 6.5-watt bulb, but the 2-watt ping-pong bulb would surfice based on our requirements!

It was indeed value for money because he has shared his knowledge of LED lightings with us and it is definitely a heartening encounter to be served by a sales person who:

    a) knows what he is selling (product/ brand knowledge);

    b) very ethical becox he recommends based on his customers' requirements (not profit margin); and

    c) is passionate about serving his customers & selling them what they require.

So if you are keen in getting LED lightings bundled with great service & coaching on the products you're buying, please do give your support to a professional showroom like CITILIGHTS LLP!

Juillian is the boss, he own another one beside call Kingslight

  5. Hi joemit7850,

    what is recessed downlight?

I'm not going for those romantic type of ambience... becox all we require is just the light there on the ceiling to be turned on 24 hours a day without turning it off.

We're not concerned about designer style but so long as it serves the function of lighting up that area of the room, that'll be good enough. Has to be mounted on the ceiling :)

But those MR16 LED lights - becox they've a 2-pin, will it be tough to plug them in on the ceiling or pull them out eventually? (that's if they need to be unplugged)

And they'll "die" on us if we use 2 much force to pull it out or the pin might jux break & get stuck in the power socket... It happened to us when we were dismantling electrical appliances before...

recessed downlight are those round or square light which install inside your ceiling if you have fault ceiling, since yours are direct install to the concrete ceiling, the price will be higher as you need to include the light housing,

LED life span should be longer therefore chances for you to pull it out are very low.

  6. Hi joemit7850,

thank u too for your advice :)

U r all very helpful with blur-queens like myself :P

But please do pardon me for my ignorance. What is MR16 3W LED lamp? It's not those tiny weeny bit of LED lamps for signages right?

driver - I think I can understand what it is.

housing - what is it? Is it a cover to cover the bulb?

And how big is the MR16 LED lamp?

MR16 is the type of 2pin type led lamp which normally ppl are using to replace those small recessed halogen downlight , it different from those use in signage which are normally those continous strip led.

all led lamp need led driver to power up or call it operate.

housing refer to the "house" to kept your led lamp.

you did not mention what type of led fitting you are looking for eg: recessed downlight? or those more decorative surface (not recessed) led fitting, if you do , i can provide more information.

  7. Hi folks,

I'm feeling terribly lost... Heard of LED lights before but have never had any at home; only saw them being used in showrooms (LED strips) or signages.

I need to install LED lights at 2 distinctive locations on the ceiling of my HDB flat, turned them on 24 by 7. However, I had only gone down to a lighting shop near Lucky Khoon @ Joo Chiat to take a look.

A 3-watt LED spot-light (for ceiling) which we felt that were suitable in lighting up those 2 spots, was quoted as $298 each. That was really steep!

The staff there claimed that their product was made in Taiwan. But warranty was only 1 year.

When we tried to obtain the best price from the staff, she said that she risk losing her job if she asked her boss & we decided not to go ahead with the purchase after the discount was given. So we thanked her & walked out of the shop.

Could anybody be as kind to enlighten me on what's really recommended for our requirements? Are all LED ceiling lights that consume relatively lower watts so expensive?

whether is led recessed downlight or led surface light,

the price she quote are crazy price, dun buy from them, you can get it cheaper else where. a guide for you

the MR16 3W led lamp itself should not be more than $50 dollar each excluding driver and housing.

  8. Ur sofa looks exactly like my father in law...he got 3+1+1.

price wise i not so sure..

It peeled as bad as urs.. If not worst. Juz sent it to redo the leather.

The guy say the sofa is not leather but pu.

it not worthwhile to re-do the leather,

i had check almost 3-4 company which can change the whole sofa to half leather

cost as much as1.8-2.8k just for half leather, with this price, i just bought a full leather from HTL warehouse sales for3seater also..

  9. Due to the fact that my place is VERY windy, my ID do not suggest that I have hanging pendant lights for the dining table. Need to have a fixed light that come down to near the table where a normal pendant light should be....

anyone come across this kind of "fixed" pendant lights that dun swing much?

    Any help is appreciated!

what he mean could be suspended light which hang by a steel rob instead of chain,

but for your info, my place are also very windy and i do not have problem with pendent light even through my light are suspended by steel wire, because you have to chose the light which are heavy to prevent swivel

  11. Wow that looks really bad.

But would u mind sharing how much you paid for the sofa which is featured in your photograph?

And are there any warranty given for the sofa?

It looks like PU, not leather as the material looks really too thin to be leather.

i paid almost 1.2 for this set and was told they are leather, no warranty
