Hmm... With that comment, really have to think twice before engaging them liao.
-
Yup, I have read that thread before and it's almost "dead" to me. The resident who started a blog engaging Substance also have not been updating her blog since last year. Perhaps something happened somewhere...
-
PMed you, tension_z. When I went into Substance, they were actually quite busy. A guy was attending to a couple and a lady was manning the computer. So I just briefly chatted with the lady and passed her a list of what I wanted to renovate. Just have to see they will get back to me a not.

Hey, guys! I've been to these ID at Toa Payoh Central (mostly Blk 177) these few day and I would like comments from the experience people who have engaged or talked to them before; Unimax Creative Substance Interior Design Profession Living Art Home Interior Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! I'll be heading to Balestier this weekend to talk to more IDs.

Hey, jaCKY777. I took out my S$2000 a month after my very 1st meeting with HDB in 2005. So I think the S$2000 won't be forfeited, only the S$10.

Home Pregnancy Tests
euph0bear replied to purple's topic in Pregnancy,Parenthood and Education Matters
Just need to go to any pharmacy such as Guardian, Watson, NTUC Unity etc and you should find all sorts of brands of pragnancy test kits. Prices all below S$5. -
Nice analysis there, jaCKY777. Ultimately, we all know who would be the most profit earning one la... Talking about 4D, have everyone bought this Thursday's Toto. S$10 million wo... And have you seen the queue at HDB Hub's NTUC? Can queue all the way until inside MRT station one. Hi, Redwyrm. I would advise you to go down to the bank itself to ask because most of the time, information posted online may not be 100% accurate at all.

Congrats to you, sci10109! My collection is only 1 day earlier than yours. Time to search for an ID to renovate your flat liao. So far, I have only went to Unimax (opposite blk 79) and Home Interior (beside Toa Payoh Kbox). Will be going down to more IDs for more quotations to compare. My new flat is on the 9th floor, what's yours? Later we both might be neighbours!

If your flat is facing Toa Payoh central, then it's south. If it's facing Toa Payoh Lor 3, then it's north. Correct me if I am wrong.

Actually you can't totally blame HDB. From HDB website, you could see that the remaining no. of flats are mostly 75m². The people before applying the flats should have known this info before applying as it was published online when the exercise started thus HDB's transparency. Now why HDB only showcase 90m² flats instead of their counterparts, I'm sure everyone is as puzzled as me. Perhaps to fool the applicants or perhaps HDB is just lazy to open up the 75m² flats (think more paperworks). But true enough, be it 75m² or 90m², the main thing is that the flats are in Toa Payoh and everyone would surely chiong for it.

I haven't meet up with any ID yet but I've already shortlisted quite a few of them in Toa Payoh (I'm lazy to go elsewhere to source ). Surprisingly, there are 5 ID in central area and another 5+ in Toa Payoh. So I'm gotta go there 1 by 1 to see how.

Thanks, jaCKY777. I'll definitely work more on my blog if time permits. Hi, sci10109. Welcome to the neighbourhood. I'm also one of the future residents of 79A. I've already received my letter to collect the keys on 27 Feb at 4.10pm. I was from the initial ballotiing exercise in 2005. What about you?

That's very true, tension z. Gone are the days whereby kids roam around to play after school. Now they just go back home and play computer. I also agree on going to purchase furnitures togather as confirm cheaper if buying more.

Lol... I also bought the video card for playstation to watch vcds too. Yah... There were plenty of good shops down at the old 79 ie. the tailor shop, furniture shop, bakery, dentist plus GP clinic and of course the police post. I still remember playing soccer in the basketball court behind blk 79 and was warned by the police officers there to play elsewhere. Haha... You join Star Search? Thomas Ong is Wang Tian Chai. Yah... I often see TCS artises shopping in NTUC too ie. Edmund Chen, Terence Cao, Chew Chor Meng. My site updated fyi.

I was from Kheng Cheng School, and Heng Ah Kee Bong was just beside my school. When it was vacated in the late 1980s, I remembered going there by going through a hole in the fence just to play soccer. If I remembered correctly, Thomas Ong was from Heng Ah Kee Bong. The old Blk 79 was also an usual hang out for me during my Primary school days. I would often go there to play block catching (imagine running from 1 end to the other). Then there was this pirated game shop under Blk 79 selling games. Remembered that uncle's name was Kenny.

Thanks, Jacky. I actually got quite a few photos that I needed to scan. Plus I found a few old photos of Toa Payoh on the internet too. I will definitely keep on updating it as well as adding the new happenings in the neighbourhood.

Hi, guys! I have been secretly following this thread ever since I joined RenoTalk. I myself also bought one of the unit in Blk 79A. Just last week submitted my Loan Application form and hopefully, like all Blk 79A members, we can get our keys asap.
