  1. Yup, somehow I want to install a timer. And showering with cold water?!?! In the morning?!?! Dunno abt u... but I'm a warm blooded person... Its interesting though, showering at 730am on weekday mornings vs 930am on Saturdays - the water seems to last longer. My theory is that the temperature has increased a few degrees. Funny how that makes such a difference though.
  2. I have a 30L storage tank heater system for my exec-flat. I have to leave the heater on overnight cos there isnt enuf capacity for 2 to shower in morning b4 going to work. If turn on 15mins b4 showering, it doesnt heat up fast enuf. Heating element is a 1.5kw std for hdb. Ariston came to check it already, the tank is working fine by their stds. ZzzzzZ (tot it was heater problem) Anyone got any ideas about how to conserve energy? What you do with your heater... I'm thinking of installing an electric timer to "auto turn on and off" the heater switch but got few problems. Cant put the device in the bathroom cos: 1. illegal for electric devices in bathroom 2. I also scared - condensation cld cause short circuit (in long run) Oil prices going up... I dont see electrical bill going down anytime soon! Pls share...
  3. Bought a wooden console from roomy room. Ordered it last saturday and was delivered yesterday. paid in full....in fact, I didn't know and didn't have enough cash with me. The salesman sent me out to the HDb area to draw money. sounds very dodgy right? was a bit worried then and even more after reading this thread but crossed my fingers...fortunately, everything went well. didn't think quality was too bad...in fact, similar to barang2....and cheaper by quite a bit.
  4. I have a question for everyone, reasonable practical one too. If you're doing laminate for the bedrooms (or study in my case), will the laminate floor get easily scratched by a chair with roller wheels? Of course over time I know there will be marks. But is laminate that resistant to scratches? I'm wondering if I should buy one of those hard plastic sheets to put on the floor where my study chair will be... Any ideas, thoughts or advice?
