Hi Ms bean, you can complain directly to HDB ? Or write a complain letter and attention to their HOD/CEO ? The conceal waterpipe are installed by the HDB meh, so they should hold partial or full responsiblity for the poor quality of work that cause the water pipe to leak .... kbp

Happy, you are right! That is their favourite sentence ! But who will know that the flat has so many defect before we stay in it ... For example: the toilet bowl choked, water pipe leaking and metal gate lock faulty and more... All these problems will only surface when we use them. I heard that the Service Center are moving out in september. We better report all defects before they shift, or else have to go down to the Bukit Merah HDB branch and quene for hours there. kbp

Hi happy. You are right, she is fatter now ! One more thing to add - she does not answer phone call, just let it ring till the line cut off. Hi nemofc, The bsc lady’s job is to provide us the necessary information/helps when we encounter problem with the flat right (Regardless whether it is before renovation or after renovation)? At least she can give me the main contractor number but she did not, just ask me to find my contractor. She is just not helpful . Also, the hdb got problem with their QC, never check the flat properly before hand over to us. We paid $$$$ to buy the house, it is not a FOC flat from the government... After hearing so many stories/complaints from the neighbours, I feel that there are many defects all over the house, just waiting for us to spot them one by one. So scary…

Hi Happy, feel sorry to hear your story... I went to the BSC to report defect a few times in the past, personally I felt that the service center lady was not helpful at all. In fact, I was really disappointed with her service... Everything she will say not her work or not hdb jobs and push all blame to the owner . I really sad and angry! Then in the end, I got to spend $$ and find own contractor to solve the problem... I was really happy to get my Jalan Membina flat but very very disappointed with the after sale service provided by hdb ... I havn't move in already spot so many defects, dont know how many more problems will arise when I really stay in the house. kbp

Hmmm, still waiting for my bedhead, TV console and bathroom accessories to be installed and also the Electrician to put back the power socket covers. All the wires are still exposed, very dangerous... I think need another 2 more weeks for all work to be completed. Doing renovation is so tiring, so much thing to coordinate...I just hope that the final result is satifactory.

Nope, not the energy saving type. We use the normal halogen light. The spotlight is very bright, I only need to turn on 3 of them(above the kitchen cabinet) to light up the whole kitchen. The remaining 4 spotlights on the other side are for display only... My designer's idea ... Hehe

Hahaha, Total 7 spotlights in the kitchen. The orginal 2 lighting points (provided by HDB) will be terminated. The kitchen is very hot when I turn on the 7 spotlights together because the halogen light emit alot of heat. I regret to install so many spotlight now
