  1. No, we did not. Cos we are doing platform bed. Agree with the deal is good. Quite like the bench. Mr Bf likes the long bolster/ pillow that they make it only for display but not for sale. haha..
  2. We bought it at $3.5k (round up). BF didn't like any model at IMM but I like this model call Sophiscate (i think) from there. I thought we were be getting Simmons liao, by chance we just hopped onto the Serta mattress and it's more comfortable as compared to the Simmons model that we wanted to get. I think Serta has some promotion at the main gallery too.
  3. We made a purchase today. A Serta Sierra Hill Mattress. Bought it at Takashimaya's 10% + 10% off promotion.
  4. I love the granite wall! which part of the house is it?
  5. I saw it at IMM's Simmons. I think you will see it at all Simmons Branch. The Serta Salesperson was telling me that they are having a 10% + 10% on top of promotional prices at Takashimaya if you purchased with a Taka Credit card. It's only for this weekend which starts today. But not all models are available there. You may be interested to go down and take a look. Other than that, I think Serta's mattresses are at promotional prices too, not sure if there will be further slash during GSS.
  6. Simmons and Sealy is having promotion. Simmons has further reduction for the GSS which starts tomorrow. Great deal. We have set our eyes on the Glendale in king size. Happy!
  7. we asked for one with uneven spaces within the shelves and no doors one. he told us it is more difficult cos both sides are opened. can't remember how big.
  8. hey babytan, nice 3D u have there....
  9. wow... so fast ceiling work liao....
  10. Thanks. It's for mr bf's ps3 and wii... basically gaming corner. yah, we asked steven to do it so as to create a space on it's own. but right now, it's not confirmed. I see this thing as impractical. haha... by the way, how's your bookshelf coming? We ever wanted to custom make one but Steven quoted us 1600 dollars!!
  11. The delayed 3D drawings. Kitchen and... the Entertainment Area
  12. Compassvale, I agree with you. However, black tiles are neither easy to maintain too. Alittle bit of dust can be seen easily too. We scratched and stepped on the pure black tiles, lines can be seen and sweaty foot marks can be seen too. The other reason why we didn't stick to black is cos no black tiles actually caught our eyes. Kind of sad now. Thought we could make something out of it as we went throught so many rounds of changing tiles. Hey Kajua and bluedusk, the selected one is glossy finish. Bluedusk, the tiles is quite nice. where is soon bee huat? But i am going to give green light for Steven to start tiling on 20th. Am not sure if I have enough time. No MBR, cos we put on hold. Looking for pole system, maybe alumix, maybe Ikea pole system. No hurry for that. Yah. I don't like the door too. Eeeee.... I make sure mr bf read this. wahaha...
  13. Thanks for everyone's suggestion and compliments. Changes are definitely to be expected. Mr Bf and I stayed up last night and concluded that white floor tiles will look better with the theme. Most likely we will just stick to what Hafary has to offer. Ha... else renovation is never going to start.... Think Steven will kill us anytime too...
  14. Hey, great minds think alike. We are looking into changing the tile to white homo tiles. Hafary has one at $3.80 which is the first we chose:- It's almost pure white but definitely not off white yet. We will stick to white for all feature... maybe with mixture of light grey for a softer touch. Yah... i think that should look better.... the visual of it seemed more comfortable. Perhaps becos I have always love a white, airy and spacious home. Thanks!
  15. The 3D drawings have arrived.... 1) MBR toilet The rustic tiles is not exactly black. I would say this 3D drawing kind of fail me as the tiles colors and effects are not true. Nope, we are not going to change the tiles though. 2) Foyer The foyer would be raw. Also, the panel of wall where the door is, all except the ceiling. I see that the door is ugly. I must try to convince Mr Bf to use just a normal glass door. Other than that, I am quite satisfied with the shoe cabinet. 3) The TV Console. It is swiveled. Nothing to wow about, it's just another console. Behind, you see the carpeted platform for game fever. We should have one drawing of it which I think he missed it out in the email. 4) He missed out another drawing in the email again. Below is one side of the kitchen. It's like a mini island, as a work top and breakfast area. 5) This red feature will be gone. It's a silly idea of mine. Thought we could have a sudden strong feature somewhere. Didn't expect Steven will include it. Ha. Anyway, we will featured the whole wall with wallpaper. 6) Guest Room Wardrobe. The glass panel will be gone. The whole wardrobe will be in pearl white laminate. Keeping it as simple as possible. All 2cts worth comments are welcome. Now, we are still thinking what color floor tiles to use. white, black or grey? Black is definitely nice and modern. Our concern is that our original unit is not able to receive much lighting in the day, we are afraid it will dim the flat by alot. However, as you all can see from the drawing, we try to keep our furniture and wall in white colors except for sofa.
  16. I thought I wanted to ask bluedusk the same qn but by looking at the photos of her original house, it looks really bright. It should be quite cosy. But of cos, the verdict should hear from bluedusk.
  17. Yeah, saw your blog with the beautiful designs. So bold! Will try to post some soon =)
  18. It's indeed a bold design! Good job!
  19. Is it? I tot Steven told me they have leh. Ok. I shall sms him tmr. wahaha...
  20. We havent had the soft copy yet. Perhaps will ask for it from Steven the next time I am going to meet him. Looks like your reno is progressing quickly.
  21. Today, we finally sat down with Steven and went through a thorough discussion. We have seen the more satisfying 3D drawing and made the necessary amendment. Also, we selected the laminates for the shoe cabinet, kitchen cabinet, one wardrobe and one vanity cupboard. We finalised the ceiling lightings and electrical points too. Last but not least the rooms doors. So we are left with the carpet and laminate floors. According to Steven, the wall to make the MBR bigger and 2 panels of wall at study were hacked. Mr bf and I am still considering over the floor tiles- now over black and grey. Yes, please bear with us. Anyway, tiling work should start next week after the Vesak Day PH. Yes! Tomorrow, I will be looking at some wallpapers.
  22. the proposed living room colors looks quite ok. black is always stylo. but it's such love and hate color.
  23. Oh, I thought this glossy beige laminate in the drawing is very nice. It's so classic and elegant with the black.
