You're absolutely right Uberman! I shortlisted and signed the contract with this co., which is an ID firm, based on some good recommendations here and after my own price comparison. But I'm not v happy now and fearful that the renovation outcome might go against what I envisioned it to be. I feel that I shd take charge of the situation, and insist on what i think is a logical manner and of cos on the best design that suits my taste. Another bros or sis got any comments?

Hi, got questions on the correct sequence of concept design and follows by actual renovation wrks. Appreciate if you could share your thoughts. I was puzzled by my ID asking us to select the tiles, and buy the bathrooms and kitchen accessories and lightings, before we even have a glimpse of any 3D design drawings from the ID. Although we stessed that we need the hse to be handled over at certain date. Is this normal or do you experience the same? However, I really dun feel comfortable on the basis that without any ideas of how the design looks like, we go and spend and commit ourselves. Plus those shops that the ID bring us to (usually single tiles shop, single light shop etc), I think most home owner will buy most or all necesscities from that one shop, so to avoid inconveniences etc. Is this the right approach for us as a buyer? I'm wondering how much commission $ that the shops gave the ID thru' such recommendation of customers? Thanks in advance.

I also got a house needs an ID...How about Image-creative, anyone uses them....? I saw their portfolios in their homepage, quite nice. But I need to get the first hand reviews from others who engaged them before.....
