    Just an update with Neo Gardens. Finished the trial and found not bad, so continued with them. The trial is 3 dish 1 soup, learned to just eat anything they serve, cannot be too choosy. My son likes the soup but feel better to go with 4 dishes. Only 1 bad experience, on the 2nd last day of the trial, just after we call to confirm we will be continuing, the food didn't turn up. Called them and found out that the driver was late (muz be very very very late) and we only got our food at 8.30pm. By then we already cook something else to eat. Called them to complain and they agreed to refund us for 1 day.

    The food portion was quite good, and my wife was wondering is it becoz of trial give us bigger portion, but the 'normal' days after trial still about the same. And with 4 dishes, it is just nice. Most days we like the food and a couple of days so far where we wish we had something else. Overall so far so good, will continue till we get bored. But when I think about tabao food every night, don't think I will get bored with this arrange too soon.

    Asked for no chilli so my son got more choices of food to eat. Also asked for microwave container so can save the washing up.

    Hi all, plan to DIY painting for my 4rm hdb flat + ceiling+door , isit worth and can save more?

    I DIYed my previous 4rm flat. The walls are not too bad and I did save quite a bundle. Ceiling is no joke and door is tough too. Remember ceiling you are working against gravity and it is super tiring. The paint use for the door is different and will be tougher to paint too.

    But yes, it is possible, yes, you will save $$, but it's a lot of hardwork and time.

    Aiyo then u should install an emergency flash light so when power failure is down it can turn on. Actually u just go to ur DB n push ur lever the opp way then ur power will be retrieved. Call for electrican to check why power failure.

    Not easy when you are panicking. Haha...the first step should be to off all the switches (if you are calm enough :P) thereafter to switch on the power at the DB. If it is all upwards, den have to check the one outside the door. Afterthat turn on the switches 1 by 1 and see if anyone of them cause it to trip.

    Hmm...I think this is where those battery powered light which come on when it is dark comes in handy. Maybe I should get a couple.

    my friends always park at the landed housing inside, then take the back alley to the shop.

    anyone unit main door faces the neighbour main door? do they normally closes the main door?

    btw, do u guys believe in fengshui? if yes, who u recommend?

    I usually open my door unless my son is crying. My opp neighbour have not move in yet but when they come over they usually open the door too.

    :jawdrop: Wah! $10! Daylight robbery ah. Prob with the sembawang one is always no place to park. Be careful for those who park at the road side, do keep a look out coz the white motorcycle do come by quite often.

    i found 1 cockcroach so far... dunno come from where though... cos my htb say he nv see it when he went bath... but after he came out... i wanted go bath... den i saw the creepy crawly outside the bathroom door. hmm...

    also found ants... dunno come from where...

    i hate creepy crawlies... and yes... i HATE FLYING ROACHES! yikes!

    I always got beetle visit me, at 1st once a day now lesser liao, maybe not enough beetle to swim in my toilet bowl. Than got those small little flying ants, mini moth like thing. *sigh*

    No vulgarities can be heard but cars zooming. Not that bad though, not much dirt cuz seldom open windows. I like my unit v much. Theres a lot of privacy even when im in kitchen with windows open... can cook naked! :P

    LOL!!!!!! Ive been busy ma...

    eg. Picking up a call at 2330hrs from *ahem* neighbour asking if i have contact lens solution & extra case ROFLLL

    Also been busy asking another neighbour to help buy some IKEA items & tag to his own purchase... What a life saver that guy is! Even to the extent of helping me collect my DVD & 32" TV. *sobz... so touched!

    Good thg for hving neighbours hor! U guys know who u are *winkz*

    God blessed me for having wonderful neighbours :)

    Updates, been bz entertaining friends every weekends now. Hopefully one day, I will be entertaining my neighbours. Still trying to "feel" my home. Maybe its too big & empty? Maybe its unbelievable I own it? I have no idea... sometimes i feel like its too good to be true.

    Wah...high standard leh, I thought the chong pang nasi lemak not bad leh, got lots of things to choose from. Try the fried bee hoon opp 7-eleven coffee shop. Eat the morning 'session' one. Lots of people, the bee hoon and chicken wing quite good.

    Ya wait until i move over to Sembawang then we go night cycling also. I can cycle long journey u all can?

    Got this to hang clothes behind the door, no need to drill, just place on top and the door still can close properly. Only problem, too high! Ok for me, my wife needs to use hanger, and my sons cannot reach it. But still like it, and bought another 2 more.
