Ah thanks jacky. i did not ask the ID much since he said he is not going to charge me extra. He is just charging me $200 just find it strange that the amounts charged by the subcon is so expensive compared to the service that they provide, which is not much at all, according to my ID.

Hi all..i know you guys have discussed on the haulage and debris removal fees charged by the town council before. Spoke with my ID today. He told me that town council only charges 1xx+ for the haulage and debris removal fees. He said he paid another 600+ to someone to transport sand and remove debris and said this is under table and common practice to pay to the people downstairs. So i was surprised to read that HDB charges a fixed fee of 900 for 4 rm and 1100 for 5 rm flats. are we referring to the same charges?? he said they only collect for new flats. if you start the renovations a few mths down the road, nobody will ask us to pay.

No problem M&Ms! Already submitted the defects list should be ok..would they informed me once they have rectified it? Aircon man going to install aircon tom liao. But my wife and i dont have time to go down to supervise at all.

Thanks. I will try to submit the defects listing to HDB first in the morning to see what they say. Contractor already hacked down one wall and going to work on electricals this week. The defects are minor so hopefully HDB can still do it. Do we submit it to the Branch Service Centre located in Blk 79C?

Hi I just joined the forum today! didnt know that there is such an active forum for 79ians already. I will be starting renovations tomorrow and will be staying at Blk 79B. Just to ask you all something. Can i still submit the defects list on the same day as the day when my renovation commences? I totally forgot to check for defects after key collection till i read the forum today am worried now that they may change the defects for me. help!! Nice to meet you all!
