One year ago last week I was let go from my amazing job by a petty a$$hat who knows nothing about IT but somehow found his way to being an IT Director. Three months later he was booted for gross and demonstrated incompetence - a bit of vindication but no real value for me. I had a short term contract this summer that gave me three months of work (with a full month in the middle where I did not work because my wife was in the hospital), but otherwise I have been unemployed for the past 12 months. This being the one year anniversary I think is weighing on me quite a bit. I have a lot of angst and frustration over not being able to find livable employ. In the 8 months of the past year that I have been searching I have applied for ~100 jobs, and every one of them was something I felt I was qualified for. I have received one job offer at a local MSP, but their offer was far below my expected pay. I told them that I would give them 100% and they would be happy with me, but that I would be continuing to actively look for a higher paying job, and understandably they resumed their search. I don’t blame them, they want and need someone to be a long term team member. Aside from the aforementioned short term contract I have received nothing but rejection. Last week I was super excited about one particular opportunity, I met 95% of the requirements plus had direct experience with their unique tech stack, and I did not even make it to a screening call. Ultimately I think that I am doing something wrong with my resume. I am either showing or not showing something and it is getting my application dismissed outright. Who here is a hiring person and can tell me what I’m doing wrong? What am I showing that is a turn off? What am I leaving out that is getting me dismissed?

I recently had an opportunity presented to me to rent a shop to open my own truck repair shop and I'm trying to figure out what all I need to do to get started. I know I need to set up an LLC, insurance, and business license but not sure what else I need to do. I assume I need to get a lawyer to help do this, but this is why I'm asking. I will also talk to my accountant to get that side of things taken care. Any help is greatly appreciated! I’ve put off opening a shop for years, but it has given me time to accumulate a lot of the tools I need for this so the upfront cost won't be as bad.

It would be nice if we could cut and paste an image we are interested in sending into a image search field and search through the recipients received wall to see if they already received one. The algorithm could return the top 5 closest matches, leaving it up to the sender to determine if it’s actually a duplicate. This would be helpful for profiles with thousands of cards and should be fairly simple to implement. Plenty of open source code for algorithms to do this. Only downside is the potential increase in processing requirements for the site

Hi guys, I hate to even ask this question, but can anyone help me with the IBC definition of Hotel? We are having a somewhat ridiculous discussion with lawyers and city planners, revolving around the question of short-term rentals versus hotels. I am trying to find a path in the IBC to show that this particular project is considered a hotel. Here are some quick details. There is a historic business that the fire marshal and I have designated as an R-1 Hotel. It is a bunch of bungalows on a single lot. It functions as a hotel, with a central phone number, reservation system, etc. Definitely transient. The rooms are separate "cabins". To muddy the waters, each bungalow could technically be called a dwelling because it has sleeping, bathing, and cooking facilities. Part of my thought process is looking all the various definitions and occupancy types in the IBC. Unfortunately, Hotel is not defined. It seems obvious what a hotel is, but I am wondering if anyone has encountered a similar situation, or has a good method to define it. I am on the 2018 IBC, but it probably doesn't really matter for the purposes of this discussion. Thanks in advance.

Hi I have recently divorced my wife and she has asked me to leave the house. I have nowhere to go and I stopped working about a month ago. I contacted the council and they said I have no priority for housing and that I have to find my own place to rent but all the landlords I contacted would not accept someone who is not working. I contacted Nomads but they said they have a long waiting list. I moved to Sheffield 3 years ago and have been busy working most of the time so I have no friends here to live with or even get advice from so I am lost and don't know what to do to get over this problem, so please advise me. Hey everyone! After saving coins for a few months, I finally cracked and went on a pack-opening spree (lol). I spent around 1.4 million coins yesterday and only pulled one 90 overall. Is anyone else getting odds like this? Now I’m down to just 150 coins — definitely not worth it in hindsight. Still, sometimes you gotta risk a little to (hopefully) get a lot. Any tips on how to make coins back quickly? And what do you all think about the current pack odds? Thanks!

Hi, I had a question I wanted to throw out there for some of the really heavy cannabis users. A little background, I'm in my late 40s, I'm a fairly responsible adult, live a healthy lifestyle but use cannabis between 0.3- 0.5 gram, twice daily for mental health and overall well-being. The flower is in the 25% THC range and I prepare as edibles. I've been using on and off for decades and have developed a very high tolerance to cannabis. I now don't really get the kind of psychedelic type effects from cannabis anymore that I used to when I was younger and smoking recreationally. I know if I take a tolerance break even a few days, a week, for example, I will get much higher from THC accompanied with many of the additional psychedelic-ish-type effects that are generally absent when I'm using regularly. I should also mention I've tripped about a dozen times off LSD and mushrooms as a teenager So with that in mind, on to my question: Recently I've been experimenting with some GT's that a friend has grown. Mostly in the 1g-2.5g dry range with 7-10 days in between. I'm not on any meds and take on an empty stomach but I've found that the experience is underwhelming, more like a micro/mini dose in effects. Even with 2.5g the most I'd feel is a very slight shift in consciousness but nothing pronounced. Others have had trips from the same batch in the 1.5G range. Just wondering if heavy THC use might be responsible for inhibiting some of the range of effects that mushrooms can produce? If anyone has any experience or insight I'd be grateful to hear your thoughts Thanks in advance!

I have two Locations, and I'd like to have different branding; Name, Logos, Colors, etc. The Location has a Company name, but the Account name is what's used for receipts, screens, etc. When changing the branding and not choosing all locations, it warns me that branding will be removed from all other Locations. If Branding is not Location specific, which is managed /edited under the Location instead of globally?

I am not THAT price conscious, but last week I was going to buy a pair of small "sample pots" of rice pud. (no, honestly) The week before they were £1 for the 2 pots. This time they were £1.60 (Normal price) so obviously I put them back, but I looked at the "normal" size tins, and they were now £1.20, so not only cheaper, I got more rice pud for my dosh.
