High floor for less noise?

I stayed on the highest floor of my hdb before my new house and it definitely feels alot quieter than before, and has more privacy in some sense. Didn't have any issues with ceiling, noise or leak from water pump. Good advantage is you don't have to on your heater sometimes cause the sun is shining directly on your pump.
