100 Acre Woods

Recommended Posts

Similar sofa beds like yours can fit 2 persons but certainly not so roomy enough for turning & tossing if 2 persons are sharing though. It would be great if got a queen size type when folded down... mine is only the standard size for sofa beds for 2 persons to sleep on

Yah, definitely not roomy for 2 persons tossing & turning. Renopooh bought this not meant as a bed for 2 but more as a sofa in the study room then if got guest, can use as a guest bed (for 1 person).

hi renopooh,

how much u got for your sofa bed and where u got it from?

coz i getting one for my study room~

It's been almost 2 weeks since renopooh last posted on the progress & glad that this will be something positive, finally. :drunk:

Yes, the rectification works by HDB are 90% completed. Surprised at how "fast" they can get things done. Renopooh do believe they can do it even faster when they really wanna do it. Renopooh ever visited during a weekday & there were no activities at all. Wonder when they work. Were they elves? And they changed all the windows within 3 days! Speedy! :dancingqueen:

Anyway, as with all rectification works, new defects are bound to be created in the process. Like the faulty lock of the new door that had just been changed. Renopooh also spotted another 2 new defects which were not on the list previously. Hope that the defect list is not "never-ending".

Since rectification works seem to be able to complete right on schedule, it's time for renopooh to confirm the contractor soon too. Haha... gotta get right on to it then. Yee-ha... :bangwall:

Wah, renopooh MIA for almost one month ah. Hehe...

Last week, renopooh met up with the TO to go thru the rectification works done as the 2 months dateline was due already. As it was about 95% completed then, the TO advised that they would need to take few more days to finish up the balance 5%. Therefore, the rectification works should "officially" complete by today. Finally...

Basically, last few weeks was for renopooh to meet up with a few IDs, discuss about what renopooh wants to do for the flat & get quotations. By right, renopooh should complete ID selection & confirm one of them by this week. But who knows, one of the IDs delayed in providing the revised quote until next week. So seems like renopooh is only able to confirm ID by next weekend then.

Hmmm... after ID confirmed & contract signed, it'll take about 1 week to obtain HDB's approval to start reno. The reno process should take about 3-4 weeks. Therefore, targeted completion should be mid Jun 08, hopefully. still gotta wait...

Side-track a bit, recently while visiting a friend who's also staying in 100 acre woods, renopooh spotted a crack right across the kitchen wall & tiles!!! So scary. This friend had finished renovation last year Oct & had since moved in. Remember few months back while renopooh was checking for defects, one of the neighbours already highlighted to renopooh to look out for cracks on the walls. Seems like cracks on walls are very common defect in the flats in 100 acre woods, maybe it's a matter of time as to when the cracks will surface... :o

Ikea's now having it's 30th anniversary sale from 1-4 May 08.

http://www.ikea.com.sg/homepage/home_30th_anniversary.asp

Renopooh bought another sofa bed from Ikea. This will be the 2nd sofa bed for renopooh's place. Why so many? Renopooh also dunno. Renopooh just couldn't resist the temptation that it's going at such a cheap price of S$99.00 !! Usual price was S$199. :deal:

Renopooh also bought 2 venetian blinds for the kitchen & the aircon ledge window. Most likely will get the contractor to help install them when they're here. :notti:

Oh yes, thanks.

Btw, renopooh forgot to add that there's a transportation cost of S$40.00. But it's still a good deal nevertheless cos got quite a few items to be delivered together.

:dancingqueen: The items bought from Ikea were delivered last weekend, right on schedule! Renopooh's very pleased with the delivery service. They even called up before delivery to inform the estimate time of arrival & they're very punctual! :good:

Renopooh hasn't settled with confirming the ID/contractor yet. :( Original plan was to confirm the ID last Sat but who knows the ID didn't respond to renopooh's sms. Well, renopooh also lazy to call & push them lah. Only managed to get the ID yesterday & found out that the ID was busy with Mother's Day celebration last weekend so didn't reply to renopooh's sms. :bleah:

Renopooh's reno plan is gonna be delayed for 1 week now, hopefully can confirm ID by this weekend bah. Think renopooh is the one who takes the longest to confirm on the ID lor, since getting quotes in Aug'07 until now still not yet settled. 8|

Some post-dated updates:

- Booked a system 4 inverter aircon from G*** City but the size of outdoor compressor is too big unable to go through the aircon ledge window, so have to downgrade to a sys 3 instead. Aircon salesman jokingly told renopooh, the size of compressor keeps increasing while the size of HDB's aircon ledge window keeps decreasing. Note for future reference: check the size of aircon ledge window before buying aircon.

More things to buy: cooker hood & hob, washing machine & fridge. Any sponsors? Haha...

GSS is here! Buy buy buy!!! :dancingqueen:
