Mix And Match Fujitsu And Toshiba Airconditioners

Recommended Posts

Was given the below quotation by Ga:n C:ty. This is to cool a 126 sqm EA.

Fujitsu System 3 Inverter (4 Ticks)

Outdoor: 1 x AOY30LM4 (Approx 27k BTU)

Indoor: 1 x ASAA24J (Approx 24k BTU) (For Living + Dining Room)

2 x ASYA9LA (Approx 9k BTU each) (For Study, one Bedroom)

-----------------

Cost - S$3320

Toshiba System 2 Inverter (4 Ticks)

Outdoor: 1 x RAS3M20SACV (Approx 21k or 24k BTU)

Indoor: 1 x RASM10NKCV (Approx 9k BTU) (For one Bedroom)

1 x RASM13NKCV (Approx 12k BTU) (For Master Bedroom)

-----------------

Cost - S$2080

Upgrade to Armflex ½” - S$200

Upgrade to Copper 22 - S$100

-----------------------

Total Cost S$5,700

-----------------------

Some questions which I would appreciate advice:

(1) Did I get a good price?

(2) How are Fujitsu Inverter air-conditioners compared to Toshiba ones? Any issue from a maintenance and reliability standby?

(3) Have another option to use an all Fujitsu solution for the same cost – S$5,700, i.e. replace the Toshiba System 2 with a Fujitsu System 2. Downside is the Energy Efficiency rating of the Fujitsu System 2 Inverter is only 3 Ticks. The Toshiba System 2 Inverter is 4 Ticks. On the flip side, the Fujitsu I understand is quieter than the Toshiba, which would be useful given that one would be used for the Master Bedroom. Whilst not wanting my cake and eat it too, what would be a better choice, staying with the same manufacturer for both systems, or mix and match?

Many thanks in advance for comments.

Toshiba is very quiet. its so quiet that u cant even hear the compressor working, even if u open yr window and stare at the compressor face to face.......

u ever hear toshiba compressor working before?

Go for toshiba. its under Carrier company and best of all, its Made in Japan. How wrong can you go, comparing to other brands?
