Buying 1st Property

Hi,

Recently bought an EC. 1st time buyer, so blur blur signed the agreement with the seller and only realized later that they can stay for another 12 weeks before handing over the keys.

I know this is a stupid question, but is there anyway I can cut down the waiting time?

If u have signed, u have to follow the t&c. If you wanted shorter time, must talk to them again for new agreement.

but for condo, that is standard

just curious. what kind of lead time you are expecting?

After exercise OTP, next mth will receive the key?

Even HDB also not that fast

If today exercise OTP, 1st appointment est 12 Nov. 2nd appointment will be another 1 mth. 12 Dec. That is 13 week after OTP exercise.

U exercise such an important doc w/o reading it?

thanks for the replies... well, had only myself to blame. saw the date but did not calculate it lor.... i was told one can ask for the keys by 8 weeks after signing OTP. i guess just have to wait for now....and look for contractors in the meantime

12weeks is the fastest....

Normal is about 16weeks.

& ... Seller can have the rights to request for 8weeks completion after 1st appointment. Therefore this could cause some delay somehow...

Try request for earliest completion if possible.. e.g: 5weeks completion.
