Urgent Advice/comments On Our Reno Quote

Hi All!

I'm trying to find out if we've received a reasonable quote for my parents' 5-rm HDB flat. After 20 long years, we decided to do a major overhaul - hacking, plastering, tiling, painting, carpentry and buying that access balcony.

Can someone kindly enlighten us if this reno quote is okay to proceed? We want to redo our entire house, except my brother's bedroom (requires painting, plastering and tiling). But bearing in mind, this $56,100.00 does not include stuff like TV, fridge, aircon, lights, etc, that's why I honestly think it's abit too much. In any case, your advice/comment is greatly appreciated!

Seems a tad exp to me. Not just a few items, but just about everything seems to be at least 10-20% more exp than the quotes I've seen from other contractors. Very simple example, 5rm flat painting I've seen about $1000, but yours is $1350. Wrought iron gate about $400, yours $500. Lights installation $8 per point, yours is $10.

Seem a little high side except for electrical work, i have pm you my contractor's contact and perhaps u can get a quote from him to compare. im sure u can get a better deal.
