Hi all Finally signed up!

Was inspired by the many nice photos here

Anyhow, I will be sharing my 3D photos here to bounce off ideas. The photos are done in sketchup and rendered using podium.

My new floorplan (in 3 yrs):

My friend said too old school, so i tried something new.

Current Design:

Added another recessed area in the middle:

I plan to add something i came across just now in this forum there, which is this:

The current design is still quite bare, haven't thought of how to design the custom tv cabinet yet, and the sofa and dining table are just placeholders to see how much space is needed.

Also, i intend to knock down the kitchen dividing wall, it's allowed right? The floorplan shows some weight bearing pillars, but what about walls? Does it mean anything that is not black-ed can be knocked down?
