FMT 0 Report post Posted February 1, 2012 (edited) This Contractor, Tay Heng Long Renovation Construction, please beware!! We engaged them as our contractor in around April 2009 and not only did it provide shoddy work and shabby services, they did not honour their 3-year guarantee period which was what they had promised, but failed to deliver. The lady boss was really good at evading blame of shoddy work by blaming her workers "lack of skill" instead (funny why she still employs them!) and when called to come back for repairs last October 2011(still within the 3 years guarantee period), they did not show up at all!! After persistent calling till December 2011, she had the audacity to say she was on holiday during November and that she had already informed her workers to come, but there was nothing she could do if the workers were very busy during the festive period and did not turn up at our house at all!! After arguing with her on the phone, she simply gave us her supervisor's number and asked us to call him ourselves!! Mind you, we paid them fully upon the completion of our renovation despite the shoddy work (and the despair felt during that period by the kind of workmanship they produced) and this was the type of after-sales service we got!! Till now, not a soul turned up at our house to fix the broken parts and because we did not see the reason to take it upon ourselves to contact her worker directly (and helping her to do her job!!), we are looking for alternative help to fix the broken parts. All I can say is this contractor is capable of shirking responsiblity, giving lame excuses to cover up for their incompetency and totally UNPROFESSIONAL!New Homeowners, please beware!!
