Can you advise me if the below quote from my ID is reasonable. Mine is a 4 room premium HDB flat. The initial quote was $39K but after removing some of the items, the final quote came to $30.5K.

I seen her works before as she did up my friends unit and I am thinking of using her as my ID.

Note: It does not cover electrical(Is this usual for most ID quote?)

Hmm... The price is a bit too ex for the kitchen, my granite top kitchen is almost the same as ur. My house using Norway granite, my ID charge me $120/ft, It's just like $30/ft diff. The rest are almost the market price...

Steve, I have got another quote which is slighly cheaper, both IDs are reconmended by my friends, have not source out on my own.

actually I kinda of like the way the current ID presented her works to me, but somehow I still find it expensive in some areas. My budget is only around 25-27k.

tink the carpentry can try to ask disc by another 50 bucks for most items. Solid surface can reduce slightly too, check with other quotes and depends the brand too...

She told me she cannot give me further discount but can add in some free carpentry like simple shelvings for the other 2 rooms and construct a bath tub in the master bedroom toilet which I initially wanted.

THE REST OF THE ITEM I WOULD GIVE A MISS TO QUOTE. I FIND IT TOO EX... IF YOU KNOW WHAT YOU WAN AND WHAT YOU NEED, JUST GET A CONTRACTOR TO DO IT. OR FIND A FEW MORE QUOTE TO COMPARE... MY CONTRACTOR DIDT GIVE ME ANY PACKAGE, BUT MY KITCHEN CABINET IS CHEAPER THEN YOUR PACKAGE BRO. JUST TRYING TO HELP OUT.

I went to compare my quote with a few in the forum, my capentry is indeed on the ex side but what I feel is that she did not charge me item by item for supplying of labor to install the accessories and piping/ sink/basin and also haulage.

Not so sure if this is justifiable. In a dilemma now..hehE.

Still way too expensive...

I only paid $2300 for L box in living, false ceiling for dining, master bedroom passage way and 2nd bedroom. Also box up all air con piping, feature wall, level up wall between pillars for both bedrooms and living room.

The only way to know is to compare from different Ids n make sure that all materials n measurements r the same to do an apple to apple comparison.

BRO diva79 is right. have to do an apple to apple compare.

Thanks ppl for your advise!

I shall source for another ID and make a comparison then, but sometimes its difficult to tell a real ID from a contractor as there are many contractors around stating that they are a interior design firm.
