What Are The Must Have Items Inside A Renovation Package?

Hi Getting ID for my new 5room BTO flat. Was looking through the long list of items drilled to the specifics in some of the posted Reno quotes. As a newbie to house reno, are there must-have items for each section in the Reno quotes for a 5 room BTO flat ( with doors and floorings already installed) ? This question may seem general and depending on what you want in your house. However some must-have like if you are working on the tiles, waterproofing is required. Appreciate some advices. Thank you!

If you are working on tiles, it does not mean water proofing must be done. Unless you are hacking the flooring which im sure you have signed the documents from HDB telling you about the "No hacking" for the net few years. Overlaying of tiles does not require the "water proofing" if that was the information conveyed to you. Basic needs are, Kitchen Cabinets, kitchen curb, electrical works, Plumbing, Cleaning. These are the ESSENTIAL items. Apart from these, everything else are additional.

For BTOs, costing usually comes from ... 1) carpentry 2) electrical 3) electronics
