Projector That Is Able To Project Both Front & Rear Projection, Is There Such A Thing?

Recommended Posts

Hello, firstly let me describe my situation:

1) My (future) apartment is a 1BR condo, with a sliding wall between Bedroom & Living Room (yes very small).

2) If I mount the TV on the Living Room wall, it means sofa is against movable wall (not ideal).

3) If I mount between Living Room & Bedroom, I cannot close sliding wall.

Hence, this is what I'm thinking of doing. Both plans only work if the project can do both front and rear projection... maybe just inverse the image? I've attached my floor plan below. Please advise if you know, thanks!

Plan A (screen can handle both front & rear projection, one at a time)

- Install electronic projector screen on ceiling, in Living Room area, next to movable wall.

- Projector will be in Living Room area.

- When there are guests, it will be front projection to screen.

- When in bedroom, the projector can do rear projection to screen.

Is there such a special screen available that can handle both types of projection?

Plan B (screen can only handle 1 type of projection)

- Install electronic projector screen on ceiling, in Bedroom area, next to movable wall.

- Projector will be in Living Room area.

- When there are guests, I will close movable wall & project on it, front projection.

- When in bedroom, project can do rear projection to screen.

I've heard the associated costs of projector vs TV, project will cost more. Actually I'm not a TV person, I don't watch much TV. This is just for hosting my guests & the occasional movie. Please comment whether you think this is feasible :)
